50# recurve with field tips outdoor shooting at 15+ yards. Hung the curtain loosely on a frame 8' wide by the grommets so there's 2' of slack in the curtain. Nothing holding sides or bottom. Stops all arrows. Nothing penetrates. Occasionally one will hang from the curtain -- maybe just the very tip of the arrow head gets stuck in the threading.

I host 4H archery and find the backstop outstanding for any of the kids. I've tested it with my bow 50 lbs. compound @ 20 yards, arrows flew right through. Then again at 40 yards arrow did go through but dropped just past it.
All in all great product and recommend it for kids range. The rest of us - well we need to hit the target. LOL.
