Wonderful, generous amount of very fine Zinc Oxide Powder. It's been very helpful in protecting our sin. Thank you.

I'm still learning how to use the Zinc Oxide Powder by Sky Organics.
I'm new to using it and I don't have a guide book. I can tell you that a little goes a long way. Also, do NOT cook it as that makes it become crunchy for some reason (or I'm using too high a heat -- I don't know).
I like all the benefits described on the product.
I am amazed at how fine the powder is. I bought the 16 ounce bag because I didn't know how much it would take to use in my personal formulas for me and my mother.
I avoid the sun, but my mother is out in it every day. This Zinc Oxide helps protect her skin and I can see an increased positive difference in her complexion already.

Works great in cold process soap
MM•January 24, 2018
I use this in my natural cold process soap. This is a great alternative to titanium dioxide for my customers who are looking for something a little more natural (and I get less glycerin rivers in my soap with zinc oxide than titanium dioxide). This gives a wonderful white color. I mix about a tsp in with a couple tsp of oil, and I use it at a rate of 1 tsp per pound of soap. In addition to soap, this also works great in sunscreen and homemade diaper rash cream. Zinc has soothing qualities and so it works well in homemade calamine lotion or diaper rash cream. This is a great alternative for anyone who is looking for more natural alternatives.
Perfect for home made sunscreen

I used this for homemade sunscreen for our trip to Hawaii. And it worked perfectly, no sunburns all!!
and based on how it coats the inside of the bottle I'd say those of in the family who are Type I or II on the Fitzpatrick scale are going to have a good weekend at the water park

I was not sure if it would mix well, but I threw 5 tbs of this with 3/4 cup California Olive Ranch olive oil (one of the few true oo) into a water bottle and shook it up -- no clumping, and based on how it coats the inside of the bottle I'd say those of in the family who are Type I or II on the Fitzpatrick scale are going to have a good weekend at the water park.
Great use for homemade sunscreen

Great use for homemade sunscreen. Also, I mix it with jojoba oil for an acne spot treatment. Dries pimples right up.
