After a couple weeks of attempting to try different sources, speakers, wiring; I think it's time to give up. The sound levels are a bit high at lowest volume, but that's not a dealbreaker. The sound quality is much better than using a tiny little phone speaker or anything like that.
The major issue is that it randomly drops the audio. After trying multiple sources, I did get one instance where it lasted more than a few hours with my iPhone 6s. But that was a fluke. Most times, regardless of device, the Bluetooth stays connected (I can even use the little buttons to switch songs and pause/play, etc.) but the audio cuts out. I've tried a few speaker pairs but the original were 8 ohms.
Powering it down for a while seems to reset whatever is overloading and it'll work again for a short period.
This was with the Kastar AC Adapter that most others seem to buy.
If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. Otherwise, I'm debating returning it outright or exchanging it to see if I just got a bad board (or perhaps the poor protection in shipping messed something up).

I created a cooler speaker with this board and the output is phenomenal! Its so powerful that at around 75% volume with my speakers (Pyle PLMR605B 6.5'' Waterproof Marine Speakers) will start to distort and sound piercing. The Bluetooth range is also adequate. I would recommend and buy again for another speaker project, but with higher rated speakers.

it has pretty good sound and gets pretty loud but the shielding on the board is really bad. I added push buttons to replace the surface mount buttons and I had to shield the wires for the buttons because there was so much noise from the board the buttons would not work. the Bluetooth only has a range of about 15 feet before you start getting signal drops. for the price its not bad but I would suggest paying a little more to get a shielded and better built product.

This product is awesome! It produces high-quality sound, supports Bluetooth 4.0 technology, and is very inexpensive. If you don't mind the lack of features such as adding a volume pod, led light, aux input, and USB connection capability, then this is a great choice. Straightforward install and it works great. No dropouts yet. I decided to mount this on top of my Bluetooth box build and use small wooden dowels to operate the board controls as seen in the picture. Description is misleading! "50W + 50W TDA7492P 2x50 Watt Dual Channel Amplifier" My board does work fine with one little issue. While the TDA7492 is a 50W x 2 amplifier the TDA7492P is only a 25w x 2 amplifier! May not be a deal breaker for most but please be aware of the lesser power rating. FYI the TDA7492 50w x 2 has a heatsink most of the time while the TDA7492P doesn't. Good Luck!
