Good device for little fingers

I'm a pediatric home health nurse for medically fragile children, so I use this device a lot. It is definitely much easier and accurate to use on little fingers. The outer case makes it easy to keep clean and the partial cover on the device itself helps. It seems to be sturdy enough as I take it from place to place. I have removed one star because one of the client's has a larger, more accurate, recently calibrated medically provided continuous device, and the numbers between the two are different on both the pulse and the O2 levels. Not by a lot, but enough to say it is not entirely accurate, but definitely, (in just my opinion, but I am not a doctor or expert) close enough for average use for a minimum cost.
I like the cute design and the helpfulness of the waveform to see the variations on the pulse. I'm seen a couple of reviews faulting the Acc U Rate for not working for adults, but it's not designed for that! Better to buy one designed for adults. But on a whim I have used it with the adult pulseox on my adjacent fingers and the results were very close. I was not compensated in any way for this review. ~Shay

I know it says on it that it is for sports use and not medical, but I wanted to give it a try. Our really expensive PulseOX and building O2sat on our $15,000 EKG monitor always seems to have issues with peds. So, I figured for the price why not try it out- it is not like you are going to base your treatment strictly of the reading. And now I can tell you that after multiple use on real pts and my tests on myself compared to our 12 lead monitor- It is worth the price for sure! It is not perfect but more reliable than what else I have to use. Good product and a really good price- thanks you.

I GOT THIS DUE TO HEALTH REASONS. IT WORKED GREAT FOR ABOUT A MONTH. THEN it STOPPED SO I TRIED NEW BATTERIES AND THE MACHINE HEATED UP. CALLED AMAZON GOT A REFUND AND ORDERED ANOTHER ONE AS I NEED ONE RIGHT AWAY. LIKE I SAID IT WORKED GREAT FOR A MONTH. I purchased this for my husband who has a heart issue. The oxygen reading works but the pulse reading is not accurate. I called the company and was told that it doesn't work for people with heart issues.
Update: The company contacted me and provided me with a full refund for the meter. Good customer service.

Not sure how accurate this is. Get a different reading every time we try it within a short period of time. My daughter had an asthma attack and her O2 saturation was 88%. Purchased this to monitor in case she had another attack and I don't trust it. Will look for one that gives more consistent readings.
