Beautiful and great for when friends and family smoke outside

We have a smoke-free home but as with anyone, we have friends and family who smoke. They don't mind going outside though we still want to keep things amiable. I saw this turtle ashtray and just had to order it.
It has some weight to it. It is not cheaply made at all. I feel confident that it is, indeed, made for both indoor and outdoor use, and our intentions are of course outdoor.
The shell lifts off like a ceramic cover. It is not attached. That said, there is a curved spot where it fits over the head, so it goes on one way and does not try to fall off.
The way the holes are arranged, it is possible to insert cigarettes into them and rest in the ashtray slots, and the smoke can go out the hole in the very top. I love the design of this.
When it is full, simply remove the shell and dump the butts and ashes out.
The size is nice, too, fitting in my large hand about perfectly. The attention to detail on the turtle itself is wonderful. It truly is a work of art when not in use.

I got this for my brother who loves turtles. Even though this is an ash tray I decided to get this for him for his birthday. He actually uses it to burn incense and so even though it was not used for cigarette he still loves it and he put it to good use. The shell comes off and so he can throw away the ashes without making a mess. The turtle looks so realistic and the weight is good and heavy. Very well made and very detailed.

It's a pretty cute ashtray! It's tall, and I like that I can just tap some ash into the opening in the shell, and keep it covered when it's not in use. The only gripe I have is that it looks even more like an iguana in person than it does in the picture. That's just not a natural look for a turtle lol But, it's still a fun addition to my coffee table.
