This was by far the best investment I made for my recent beach trip. With three young kids 1, 3 and 5 year olds this was a savior from the pounding sun and provide tons of shade to relax and build sand castles. There are a lot of negative reviews about how these shades don't hold up to the wind and they are false. We experienced a few storms that turned cheap umbrellas inside out and folded up tents and the Ziggy shade was left standing like nothing ever happened. I was able to easily adjust the poles through out the day always tilting the shade toward the sun. I would highly recommend!!! We were able to fit two adults and 3 children under the shade throughout the day.

THIS TENT IS EXCELLENT FOR THE BEACH AND SUPER EASY TO SET UP

We were the envy of everyone on the beach in windy Tulum Mexico!! This thing was AMAZING!! So easy to put up, so compact to carry (and carry on the plane), and so excellent for shade. On the days where no one was able to keep an umbrella up, this shade was able to withstand the winds and give us shade. You just need to set it up the the back slanted portion towards the wind (obviously). Cannot say enough about this product!!

This shade is great but a bit too small for two people unless you want to keep adjusting many times throughout the day. I wish we'd spent the extra money for the larger size. There were times that to be shaded we had to sit back and our heads would hit one side of the shade. If there were a third pole it would solve that issue. All that said, it is very easy to set up and take down. Although a bit small I'm glad we had it to stay out of the sun!
Edit; I forgot to add this shade doesn't weight much. Big plus for packing in your suitcase and carrying to the beach!

Used our Ziggy shade for the first time in Florida. Winds 12-18mph. Setup was easy and when set up as recommended it handled the winds no problem. Take down and storage was just as easy. I did purchase 2 additional poles for use with the ziggy shade and another tarp I have. These poles are adjustable height and even when completely collapsed are a bit longer than the ziggy poles. These are the poles I used as I wanted some extra height under the shade. They worked perfectly after I added a couple of racket balls filled with foam to the ends. And folded up they fit in the ziggy bag with everything else. All in all I like the shade as it appears it is larger than the Otentik medium but not as big as the Otentik large. Much better price too. The reason I didn't rate it a 5 star is because the poles that come with it are a little short. Will update my review if it changes as I use the shade this summer.

Update to the above review: Still like the shade and it still works however after two uses the shade fabric has started to get holes in it and these holes are not even in the stress areas like where the poles are. Am afraid with continued use these holes will only get larger and the fabric may rip. Not good. Must take away a star.

Further UPDATE: I have upped my review to five stars due to the following factors (all of which relate to customer satisfaction from the seller) Upon see my review above, I was contacted by the seller via email and told that they were sending me new longer poles and a replacement shade. Due to a mixup in shipping I never received either. I replied to the sellers email that I had not received anything and they immediately shipped me out not only a replacement for my shade but sent me the larger more expensive one and not only one but TWO shades! Now a customer cannot ask for better than that! Thank you Ziggy Shade! I do love your product. It WORKS and works well. Everyone who sees it wants one! Thanks again and you have a loyal customer here.
