Seller made this right

Posted a previous review r/t shipping issue. Seller called me promptly after and corrected the issue although it may not have been their responsibility. Scooter is running great. Would purchase from them again.
Exceeds my expectations! Great buy!

Easy to set up, easy to charge, can climb hills and battery last quite awhile! Great buy! I'm satisfied I bought two of them because of how well they work! I'm one happy customer!
So far so good, Amazon did their part

We got the item in five days from Amazon Prime and it was delivered at the day they said (2:30 PM Friday). So far so good, Amazon did their part. Unpacking a heavy box was easy with little mess Styrofoam pieces with magnetic properties. The unit looks great was packed well went together without a problem. Connected the charging cord to the battery on the machine: got a red charging indication on the charger. All steps are as the company says. Got a green light on the charger indicating a full charge only five hours into the 8-12 hours told about in the owners manual. Turned on the key and no charge was indicated on the control panel. I then connected the battery to another outlet detached from the scooter, and allowed it to charge over night. The total charge time was by now 17 hours, 12 of those with a green light on the charger. I put the battery back in the scooter and still no electrical indication of any kind on the control panel i.e. horn or battery indicator. I took the battery off the machine and tested it with a electrical multitester, the battery is completely dead. I called technical support "Technical Support/Peace of Mind (866) 621 4933 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (EST). I waited on hold for thirty minutes as the recorded message said someone would be right with me. Finally in desperation I called Customer Service (866) 694-5085 8:30 am - 8:00 pm and got "no messages may be taken for this mail box.. Good by. and a hang up. As I say the machine looks well made, assembled easily, there web site needs updating as it should show they don't work weekends. My opinion because that is what this forum is about is: The product looks well made, the customer support is poor. We got this machine for my wife, and an upcoming trip to Disneyland and other SoCal POIs. I hope the company will ship a
new charged battery on Monday as the timing is critical for the trip. If we are successful by getting to use the scooter In Disneyland I will post
a "how long the batteries last" comment to this post.
Update 11/20/15 After talking to tech support and customer care (both of which were very polite and helpful and concerned) I received a new battery in three days (shipped from NY to NV) excellent customer support. I am changing my "stars from 3 to 5. As I feel if the machine quit working in Disneyland they would probably get me "road service". Their website just needs to be updated to say they only work weekdays.

If you are looking to purchase this unit, Here are some comments I could not find in the description. There is a "receiver" under the seat facing to the rear 4" long with a screw knob tightener that will accept a 1"x1" accessory post i.e. basket, or trailer. I gambled and got a basket a basket that fits.
The main frame is very heavy

Extremely well packed, heavy duty box, plyable foam and Styrofoam packing, no seen damage.
Assembles easily, intuitively, just ran it through my house, doorways are tight but manageable if careful, hopeful that this remains a good purchase
So far so good ðŸ‘🿠👌
The battery is easily removed, difficult to plug in because you need to bend over almost to the floor to access the plug, others have a plug on the steering column which is awesome, this one does not. The frame is heavy and ungainly, I guess over 70 lbs a Sr's by themselves will struggle if not fall at loading it into a vehicle.
Reasonably Good Value- Some quality/design issues

We have had this for a week now so this is an initial review to be updated in the future:

Positives:
- This is a heavy, well-built scooter that allows our grandmother to access shopping centers and long walks for the first time in years.
- The arm rests fold up/adjust easily which make it easy to access from the side and support her arms when she is driving.
- EASY Controls: One key ignition, one speed dial, and one toggle for forward/reverse. That's it! You can learn to operate this in minutes.
- Transportable: We needed a unit that could fit in our trunk, and this does the trick. It's not easy to disassemble, but it's possible.
- Stabile. This has pretty good turn radius for a four-wheeler. It easily makes the turn on tight sidewalks. There are actually six wheels, with two small anti-tip wheels on the back. It would be hard to tip over.
- Range. This has 8 mile range which was critical for us. Will update if the battery loses that range in the months to come.

Negatives:
- Heavy. The seat is heavy. The arm rests are heavy, the steering column is heavy, etc... not easy to transport or disassemble because of the weight of each component. It feels like other materials could have been used on certain components to get this much lighter.
- We bottomed out on the first sidewalk "pothole." We had to get off and lift it out. It was a normal Chicago 2-inch dip between shifting concrete sections... so this is really only for very flat roads or indoors.
- Quality issues... The wall charger for the battery gets VERY hot while charging, the sign of poor quality components. The seat swivel bar sticks already, and is hard to swivel. These are basic material quality issues that I'm hoping don't lead to a short product life.
- The steering column tilts but doesn't extend. The seat height adjusts only 1.5 inches up and down, not forward and backward. Unfortunately this means we couldn't get the ergodynamics right for our grandmother. The column was either the right height but too far away from her body; or the right distance from her body but too low and hugging her legs. We compromised for the best possible position but she is clearly not as comfortable as she'd like to be while driving.

I recommend this as a reasonably good value for this price level. It is already making a big difference for use a few times a week. I Will update if it changes in the months/years to come.
