Everything was as advertised. The instructions were a little confusing (only images, no text) so there was a bit of uneasiness as we worried whether our actions would explode red wine all over the place.

But these fears were our own paranoia. It turned out to be really easy to use and worked exactly how we saw in the video(s). Needle goes in, inject some gase, wines comes out. When you're down, the needle slips right back out and leaves nothing but a small indent. Turned the bottle upside down and nothing came out. Great parlor trick.

I saw some people commenting their cork didn't reseal -- maybe I got lucky with a cork that did, or they got unlucky with a cork that didn't -- but it definitely resealed for me!

Love. Love love. Love. We are not heavy wine drinkers--a glass every now and then--and we are fickle in what we like--what's good today, may not appeal next time. So it is super nice to pour a glass of whatever we want, knowing we don't have to finish off the rest of the bottle soon or risk it going sour. My mom bought us ours, then I went and bought one for my mother-in-law, because we liked it so well. It is great for parties, too, when people bring a bottle of something you don't prefer, but they love. You can tap into it and save the rest of the bottle for their next visit or (if they are close friends and don't mind you being tacky) legally send the rest of the corked bottle home with them.

It is expensive. If you finish a bottle of wine in an evening, have a favorite wine that is universally liked in your household and so will be finished up quickly, or don't have wine-drinking friends over often, then it may not be worth the expense. For us, it was worth it!

It's a little techie to get working, but we just followed the instructions and did fine You'll want to keep a spare canister handy because when they are out, they are out! We got maybe 20 uses (complete estimate) out of our first canister, but a lot of that was wasted as we tried to figure the system out.

We have been buying some nice bottles of wines and have a range from say $15 to $100+. Other than when we are entertaining we would never drink a bottle on a random night. Maybe one or the other of us will have a glass. This device allows to sample any corked wine - cheap, midrange and pricey - and feel no concern about the bottle being opened. Take a glass and put the bottle away. I can drink white - she can drink red, no problem! Have had at least 10 glasses (probably 15) and am not through the first cartridge. It's a little clunky - not beautiful and elegant - very utilitarian - but works great. The argon canisters are too expensive - but well worth it. Highly recommend!

Great product for the reasons everyone buys this product--no more stress about not being able to consume a bottle before the wine goes bad. My only complaint is that the pour is never as fast or generous as I see in the demonstration videos. (Perhaps this basic model is slower than some of the higher-end ones?) I used my bonus coupon to buy a couple of the larger needles, which allow for a slightly faster pour. All that said, very happy with this product. It makes a great gift for anyone who appreciates wine.

Just what I needed. I'm the only drinker in the house and having wonderful bottles of wine and I always felt I needed to drink the bottle within 2 days or I was wasting it (but lets be clear, there's no problem doing that either :-)). This allows me to have a glass of whatever wine I choose and that might be or 2 or 3 different ones. This is truly so ridiculously fantastic. I came across this while in Sonoma at a boutique winery when they came to our table using one. We got to talking about it and they use it because they are boutique size, they could easily go over a week or so with each of their wines and this was their saving grace. Can't believe it took me going to Sonoma to discover this but so glad I did. It doesn't decant it really, but you can just let it breathe a bit.
