Key features

  • BATTLE CRY RYE WHISKEY BARREL AGED COFFEE: Bright and clean cup with a slight acidic spice, fruited notes of peach jam and strawberries, touch of sweetness of red raw honey and dutch chocolate. The Battle Cry whiskey is distilled from a Belgium yeast style beer with grains of malted rye and honey malt. The whiskey complements the coffee with bright spicy flavors and an intense floral nose that is slightly sweet.
  • Reviewed and loved by Son's of Liberty Spirits Co, The Whiskey Advocate and other high profile blogs around the world.
  • Single Origin Ethiopian Coffee Bean. Dry Processed. This coffee uses the dry process by means of drying out the cherries under the sun on raised beds instead of the traditional wet processed (cherries stripped off after picking). The dry process intensifies the flavor of the cherry directly into the coffee bean. It is considered a rare process and highly sought after in the coffee business.
  • This is a Coffee Drinkers coffee. You don't have to love whiskey to enjoy the high quality Single Origin Coffee from Ethiopian paired with the amazing nuances from this award winning whiskey.

The simple fact is that the recent advent of barrell aged coffee has led to amazing flavors. Of the ones I have tried

I suspect that this coffee is or will be in short supply. I am actually of two minds whether I should review it ... of save it all for myself. The simple fact is that the recent advent of barrell aged coffee has led to amazing flavors. Of the ones I have tried ... and I have tried a bunch ... THIS ONE is by far the best. The under-flavor of rum in the dark roasted coffee is exceptional.
Ruined for coffee

I was perfectly fine drinking the free swill coffee my company provided. I was perfectly fine paying a little bit for the generic brands of coffee. But then my husband went and got me this. My taste buds and coffee budget are forever changed. This coffee is delicious. It genuinely smells like a Saturday morning coffee beverage, but without the impairment. If you're a coffee officionado, which the closest I was to this was preferring my coffee black, then you will enjoy this. If you're not a coffee officionado, then you just may be after trying this coffee.
Great tasting coffee - delightful aroma

Great tasting coffee - delightful aroma , smooth flavor , rich whiskey presence.( but not overwhelming - even for those who do not necessarily love whiskey - the right balance between coffee and whiskey ) I tried different brewing methods and "pour over" is my preferred one ( in a way i could delightfully taste an "old wooden whiskey flavor" if that make any sense ) - Coffee is packaged very well in resealable bag - good experience there and i do appreciate signature off master roaster along with batch and package number .
Not bad, will try again.

I actually ended up with the sample pack, which was a good thing. The whiskey flavors didn't do much for me, but the rum one seems promising. The beans themselves seemed a bit dry compared to other coffee beans I have ordered. I'll probably order the sampler again to give it all another try.
Perfect gift for combo coffee/whiskey lovers.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son who is a bit of a coffee "snob" as well as a whiskey lover. I was worried that this would be too much of a desert coffee but the reviews I read indicated otherwise. He has only tried the Battle Creek Rye so far but was thrilled. He says he can drink it any time of day. He doesn't want to open the other two flavors until the Rye is gone (something about keeping the beans fresh) so this may be a slow review...
