It was a little tricky to assemble because there are no holes pre-drilled; however, using a drill made it very easy. Also having no holes avoids the possibility of parts not aligning properly and with the screw making its own hole it fits tighter.
My 11-month-old loved it. I also used it for his 1-year-old party where up to 4 toddlers were playing together and held up very well. Note: the children need to be able to stand with little or no support other than that provided by leaning into the toy itself. We have ours placed on top of artificial turf and it did not slide at all, but don't know if it may do so placed on a sleek surface.
