I've always bought this. However my most recent jar cracked and glass went all into our food. I had to throw everything out and clean up a huge mess.
convenient and good taste

This is/was the best minced garlic I've tried so far. I don't know why Amazon isn't carrying it at the moment. :-( It is very convenient and has kept for a month or two in the fridge with no sign of spoilage.
Most importantly, it smells like fresh garlic! Some of the minced garlics have a cooked-garlic smell to them or are very muted, to the point I have to use 2-3 times as much to get recipes to taste like garlic. Not this one! It's a great substitute for mincing up fresh cloves myself.

So convenient!

Like another reviewer stated, this garlic is not strong, so I find I have to use a LOT to get decent flavor. However, it's so convenient, and I also hate dealing with fresh garlic- the tediousness of peeling, cutting, mincing...and the mess! All the stickiness on your hands, and the papers...ugh! I use this when I don't want the hassle, or I've run out of fresh, or when the fresh flavor is not that important to me. So nice to have on hand. I make a batch of chicken adobe for my son once a week to last him a few days as a snack or meal, as it's one of his favorites. It's so easy with this: 2 lbs chicken thighs, 1/3 cup Tamari soy sauce, 1/3 cup molasses, 1/3 cup Filipino or Apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp peppercorns, 4 bay leaves, 1 jar of garlic. (Though not traditional, I add a bit of red or cayenne pepper.) Combine ingredients for sauce and pour over chicken to marinate, preferably overnight. (I pop this in my smart pot pressure-cooker and walk away, but it could be done on the stove-top.) Serve over rice with sauce from cooking. Enjoy!

Very few things I dislike more than chopping up onions and garlic. This garlic isn't strong in flavor or taste, but I'm giving it 4 stars for allowing me to use minced garlic that I didn't have to mince. Also, it doesn't spoil quickly. I have to use a lot more than I should just to get a hint of garlic taste, but it's a small price to pay for when I'm feeling lazy and need garlic without wanting to the bulbs up myself.
