Careful how you mount this.

You don't want to install this on the side of your trailer. The tire will dent your walls.
Great deal!!

Great product, using it to hold up my 16" 8 ply truck tire. Screwed it into the top of the pickup bed rail with some self tapping #12 screws

Bracket comes with two length bolts for the rims sizes. Problem is this bolt is loose in the holder and you have to hold up the wheel, hold the bolt in the bracket and secure the nut on the bolt. Quite a difficult task at shoulder height.

I read other reviews before making my purchase, and decided that I could make it work for my implementation on my 4x8 open utility trailer, due to the reasonable price. My trailer is fairly heavy duty for the size and uses 15 inch load range D trailer tires with 5 lug rims. I had already decided to mount the spare tire to the front of my trailer to save space. The mounting holes are drilled for 1/4 inch bolts, and I discarded the lag screws that came with it, and through bolted the bracket into place with bolts and locknuts so the weight of the tire would be on the tongue of my trailer. As others experienced, the shorter wheel attachment bolt was too short by about 1/2 inch. The long bolt was very long but usable for me.
