This machine is easy to set up and works straight out the box. Thanks for the extra batteries. I can use them for something else. I also brought calibration weights 1g to 20g. Machine will not weigh 1g alone. Not sure of any birds that weigh only a gram.

Extremely good and accurate scale! I sadly bought this too late for my baby macaw because she began to lose significant amount of weight and sadly she didn't survive. The doctor and the breeder did everything they could but I feel if I had this before I would have caught it sooner that she was losing weight. So I purchased this for my cockatoo to record and check his weight daily. Yes the birds are scared of it at first but with positive reinforcement he actually steps up on it now. But if your wondering if you should buy this or the "cheaper" version of another don't think just buy this one. I follow the parrot wizard on YouTube and this product is created and sold by him and I swear you will not be disappointed. You own a parrot, this is something that should be at home too.
