Long lasting, non damaging, just not the color i wanted lol

There are a lot of pros and some cons to Arctic Fox, i think the pros outweigh them and the cons for me are more of a personal preference anyway. I am always trying new pink dyes and for one this is just not my favorite shade - its really pretty and super bright, even diluted! I liked it but just not my favorite of pinks I've tried. Some major pros are that it is completely non-damaging to your hair. I doubt it will work very well on hair that isn't already blonde or prelightened though so don't expect magic results if your hair is naturally dark without some lightening. Another pro is that it smells really good - i read that all the time about this dye and it is true. Most dyes like this that are non-damaging, no ammonia or peroxide etc wont smell BAD or wont smell like anything but this one genuinely actually smells REALLY good. The last thing i will say about this that is teetering on a pro or con depending on your preference - is that this dye is extremely long lasting. Normally i would LOVE this quality in any Demi-semi permanent dye, but solely for the fact that this wasn't really "my" pink color, it took me MONTHS for this to fade out enough to put a different pink in. The other major pro of this product is that you can get a really large bottle for about the same price that other brands will charge you for a small bottle. For girls like me with thick hair, or girls with long hair, this is a big plus. I only knocked off the one star for this because of my personal preference and how long it took to fade (which like i said is a plus most of the time, for most of us.) If Arctic Fox had a pink that i was more partial to i would probably be a loyal customer for everything this company has done right. Maybe some day i will try to mix colors and see if i can create one i like. But for now - just not quite my cup of tea. I still think its a quality product and a great dye - just depends on what you're looking for.
needed constant reapplication and wasn't my favorite color "on me"

Not sure how I feel about this stuff honestly. Well, let me correct that, I'm not sure how I feel about Transylvania. Had been using poison and while that washed out quickly, needed constant reapplication and wasn't my favorite color "on me", it faded to a beautiful pink that I was over the moon about. I finally figured out how to dilute it perfectly so that I could skip over the unflattering bright red color and stay at the lovely pink color I preferred. Also had great experience with the purple (can't remember exactly what it was called...) but came out dark vibrant purple and went through an array of beautiful purples before it settled into a gorgeous lavender that it stayed at for awhile. The purple so far has been my favorite of all the colors I've tried. Currently am using Transylvania. I was homesick for my natural dark hair but didn't want a permanent color that I would have to rebleach out once I was sick of it like I quickly am. Am finding that unlike the other colors it doesn't fade away as quickly or as completely which should be thrilling but is actually disappointing since it was why I got it to begin with. I just wanted to revisit my dark hair, not live with it forever. Am worried will have to rebleach it to get it all out which is what I'd wanted to avoid to begin with. As far as the color itself - meh. It has gone through some pretty phases but seems to be washing out into this smoky bluish/purple/ green thing that i'm not sure how I feel about. My son described it as "mystical", so that's not all bad.

I have found that none of the colors really seem to adhere to my gray hair. They stubbornly refuse to conform. I'm at a place in life where I don't have that many but the ones I DO have are at the front of my hair line and temples and all of the colors will dye it for a day or 2 but not longer then that. The Transylvania however has turned them a weird greenish color that they seem to be holding onto...

First pic is "Poison" morning after application. 2nd pic is the purple after a week. 3rd pic is Transylvania about 4 weeks out. 4th pic is Transylvania morning after application. 5th pic is "poison" after about 2 weeks. 6th pic is "Poison" at about 5 weeks which was my favorite <3, very light pastel cotton candy pink. Last pic is Transylvania now about 5 weeks later, you'll notice if you look closely that near my roots it's greenish and that it doesn't cover my gray hair.
Better color then before

My daughter has used other hair dyes that have completely ruined her hair and I told her she needed to find something better well this is what she came to me wanting to try. First off she decided to dye just my ends to see how it would look on her, I am a good sport and let her so now I have purple hair but just the ends. Today she took the plunge and I dyed her hair purple and first thing she noticed is how it stayed in her hair well, usually there is more hair dye going down the drain then in her hair. It did not make her hair feel dry which is huge. I am pleased with my decision to let her try this.
Works great on processed hair. Not really at all on virgin hair.

I ordered the black color called Transylvania.
I wanted to dye my hair black for Halloween, but also wanted to go silver in a few months. So I need something that would wash out after a while.
My hair has been bleached to hell multiple times and was pastel. Sometime last year I dyed it back to brown to try and give it a much needed break and also so I wouldn't need to do my roots.
Now this dye is pretty awesome. My hair isn't overly thick but it's very very long and soaks up dye like a sponge. Normally it takes
Me three containers of manic panic to coat my whole head. But the consistency is smooth and spreads easily without being too watery and dropping anywhere. I also only used half a bottle. I love it. The smell is pleasant as well. It just smells like nice conditioner to me. My hair felt very soft after rinsing it all out.

On the ends of my hair where it was processed, it became very black and very beautiful. It hide almost a greenish tint to it. I loved it. However my roots just came out a darker greenish brown. And after the first wash, were almost back to their regular color.
I was hoping with the black I wouldn't need to process my hair since I wasn't going lighter. But just jet black. But no biggie. I used this with hopes it wouldn't last very long.

The first photo is a before and after. The second is after the first wash and go kind of show the awesome green tint.

The green tint I think is mostly due to the warm tones in my hair prior. When you apply the dye and rinse, the water is more like a navy or purple. But I'm not fighting it. It's gorgeous lol.
Highly recommend this dye

Color that doesn't fall off my hair and into my pillows, boyfriend and skin. Thank gad. Pravana has been good to me, but I think I am now in love with this brand...

I mixed half purple rain and half arctic mist to create a gorgeous unique color that lasted me a good 2-3 weeks. Still going strong!

Looking forward to trying the other purple or mixing the two a bit, as this one diluted has more of a reddish base than a blue. This is based on my first review trying the product.

I have been dying hair for 10 years. Previously been a Pravana person mainly, but have also tried splat, sparkz, manic panic and the like.

MY #1 PROBLEM with these above hair dyes is that they rub off. ON EVERYTHING. My hands, my face, my pillows, my boyfriend. It's .. awful. Arctic fox did not do this to me at all, in fact, my girlfriend was super weirded out by that because she also is an avid hair dyer and had that problem constantly. Not only is arctic fox amazing in staying in my hair, it's also 100% vegan (not that I'm vegan, but it still seems like they try hard to keep the product safe and away from animals and their biproducts which is a nice thought).

This dye has not ever rubbed off on anything. It's unbelievable. I'm basically sold forever just because of this dye's ability to stay on my hair, and not fall out of it. I'd love to try more colors soon!

The pictures are taken the same day, one with bedroom lighting and the other with natural sunlight. (lighting is everything! figured it would help you guys)
