I am pretty sure that this product has saved my (very old) laptop. It used to get very, very hot and the fan would make a weird like grinding noise that would make me have to shut it off overnight to completely cool. This cooler has allowed me to limit the amount of shutoffs and my computer has truly not gotten even close to overheating since this purchase. The 2 fans are very quiet and quite sufficient (couldn't imagine the need for 3 or more fans). The only thing that tells you it is even running (outside of sitting in front of it when you can hear the fan but not as loud as a laptop fan) is the blue light that is emitted when it is plugged in. The USB power connector does not cause you to lose a USB outlet, can plug directly into the fan connection.

Is approximately 1/2" thick without the feet raised. There is no "stop" in the front and have had 1 or 2 instances that I have had to slide the laptop back a little but only after having moved both. I have owned this for more than a month if that is any indication. the laptop feet are able to grip the cooler grid.

This arrived well packaged and without risk of injury during shipping in my case.

The cooler does allow you to tilt your laptop up. There is only one stand height option though. I find the height comfortable for typing and your screen is movable in most cases so it really shouldn't pose a problem.

Will say that if you are going to be picking up and moving both the fan and laptop at the same time, disconnect the cooler power or be very careful with hand placement. You are not going to risk a finger or limb but will cause the fan blades to grind something terrible. Keep in mind that these are fan blades spinning within a very narrow space.

Overall I am very satisfied and relieved of my purchase (think you know what I mean). I was not reimbursed or offered this product for a lower price. This is my honest and unbiased opinion and would highly recommend this product.

I own an old Macbook Pro 17" that gets really hot. I've been using this fan stand for weeks now, and I am definitely noticing that it runs cooler these days. My own fans don't kick on so often. I do wish is that it had some sort of stop to keep the laptop from sliding off the front edge when in use. I also wish it had a dc option for its power supply, instead of using one of my two USB ports. It does use a pass-through USB plug, so I can plug something else in on top of it - however as I have found for all products like this, it takes half the energy away from the USB when trying to charge something using this pass-through. I have to unplug the fan stand when I need to seriously charge something fast. All in all though, I am glad for this cooling stand. It is definitely healthier for my laptop than running at high temp when streaming!

I see two large fans on the pic, but I got one with 6 small fans, but no complains - it will do the job as well.

The size is perfect for up to 15 or even 17 inch laptops - no problem. It can be operated flat or lifted in the back with 3 levels. The fans are very silent, but don't blow too much air. Could be little bit more or even better would be one with speed adjustment. There is no on/off button and no speed adjustment wheel. But at least there are two USB (input) plugs (one left and one right), which is very important depending on the USB power source which is available. A USB cable (male / male) is included. It's not super sturdy, but it will do the job for a couple of years I guess.

The blue light is very nice, but almost invisible below a 15 inch laptop.

If you have centered air intake at the bottom you can expect a few degrees lower temps. If you have side or back intake, there's no benefit. Hence check the ventilation slots on your laptop before you buy.

I had this silly thing for 6 years before one fan stopped working. I didn't treat it very well either. The laptop slips off of it so I put a little velcro on it to get it to stick to my old laptop. I mean it isn't high end but like it does the trick

It works quite well and is mostly silent.
