This is perfect. I normally practice my violin on the ground, but this can be set on any surface and support itself (table or chair). It's made of tough plastic and folds up perfectly thin, I slid mine into my violin case's extra pocket. Great buy, doesn't take up space, works like any other music stand only it's like no hassle at all and perfect for saving on storage space.
