I love this thing. I purchased another one after this one because it is a little small if you start to get serious about your hobby.
So now that I have points to compare it to...it rotates quickly, and I love having the timer on it so you know when you put your rocks in. It does not get hot like the other brand I purchased. Its a little noisy, but its a rock tumbler lol. And I think most seasoned rock tumblers agree that the machine goes in another room anyway.
I was disappointed when I lost the screw for the lid and realized that there was no way to purchase a replacement. So I duct taped the lid on and the barrel was fine in the machine with no leaks or anything. But when I cleaned my stones at the end of the cycle....lo and behold, I tumbled the screw. It survived LOL.
I am very happy with this tumbler, and it is not expensive compared to some other tumblers. Plus it has the great timer feature, which most do not. If you find that rock tumbling becomes a hobby, you might out grow this little guy and need a bigger tumbler.

My nephew loves to hunt for rocks and this is a great gift. However I do want to warn everyone that results are not instant or even 24hrs. It's gonna take some time and patience and maybe a garage that's sound proof because this thing is loud when it runs.

Was so very happy with this unit for several months. Received and started using by Aug 15th and the motor died Nov 10th. I have a cheap one from H.F. noisy as hell but just won't die. Loved how quiet this one was, the drum is fantastic, rocks and info great for first-timers. UPDATE!!! the company reached out and offered a refund, I asked for a replacement instead, and they agreed and shipped one out. great customer service.
