Great product for any kitchen
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•April 28, 2018
I have been using the Zojirushi water boiler in my kitchen's for many years. They are well made and designed and remarkably convenient in any kitchen. I use it for making hot beverages like coffee and tea, as well as to save time by using pre-heated water in cooking things like pasta and rice--- anything that requires boiling water. It's a great time saver. The timer is another great feature which allows you to save energy when the boiler is not in use. One caution - if you have minerals in your water, you will have to de-scale the boiler on a regular basis. But, this is a fairly easy maint. task and the boiler has a built in cleaning function. I have a water softener in my home and I don't have to do this very often.
Having 208 degree water at all times is AMAZING. My wife uses it for coffee

Having 208 degree water at all times is AMAZING. My wife uses it for coffee, I use it to warm up our babies milk, and guests have used it for tea etc. This has been such a game changer. The water stays heated at all times and you can even set the timer if you want it heated up at a certain time instead of it being hot at all times. The inside is not detachable so in order to refill it you must unplug it and take it to your watersource. I have also seen some mineral deposits starting to build up but this is normal for a hot pot so we will probably buy some desolvant and clean it out in a few months. This water boiler is really one of the best kitchen items we have bought in a long time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Boils water fast and keeps it at the perfect temperature. I really like the swivel feature

Lightweight, functional and aesthetically pleasing. Arrived perfectly packed in the original box and then put in an amazon box... I think that was counter productive since there wasn't any extra padding. The product is in mint condition. Gave it a quick rinse and then filled it up and gave it a test. Boils water fast and keeps it at the perfect temperature. I really like the swivel feature. Perfect for my hot pot dinners to replenish the pot as the meal goes, also great for perfect tea and coffee. Very quiet machine, there is a soft melody that will play to notify you that your water is at the desired temperature.
My only complaint is that the magnetic plug is super easy to disconnect. That will take some getting used to. For safety reasons it's good to know this product has that feature.

but that's a good thing as there are no nasty surprises either

This is an appliance so not exactly exciting in many ways, but that's a good thing as there are no nasty surprises either. It does exactly what it says it does: boils and provides hot water when needed. The slower drip mode for coffee is nice so the water doesn't splash around too much, but you can achieve the same by just holding the cup closer to the water spout. I used to buy these water heaters from the local Asian grocery stores and this is one of the most common brands they carry, and is priced about the same, so you could easily save yourself the trip and buy it from Amazon.
The best brand of water boiler

This is my 4th Zojirushi water boiler. The only reason I had to purchase this one is that I had one boiler that was being used with very hard water and over a 3-year period, I started having a harder time removing the calcification from the inside. The coating in the tank started to wear out over time. However, I have 2 other boilers that are used with softer water and after 3-years, they still appear new inside. I have also tried Aroma boilers but they just don't last as long.
