i like the product. i wish it had more mint flavor as it was a little too subtle for me. i am a tea and soda drinker so i was looking forward to trying something to remove some of the stains from my teeth. i don't like whitening strips since they make my teeth too sensitive, so i was relieved that this toothpaste did not produce the same result. i did not use the product according to instructions: 2x day for 30 days. i would have liked it better if the product would have called for use once/day. 2x/day seems a little much to me. however, overall, my teeth look much cleaner and whiter - a substantial improvement. my mouth felt very clean, but i wouldn't describe it as 'dentist clean'. the product did make my mouth feel a little dry after use. after each use, i had to use my regular toothpaste and floss to get the remaining charcoal bits from between my teeth and get that minty taste that i expect and enjoy after brushing. i would highly recommend it and have shared some with other family members who liked it as well. it's nice to look in the mirror and see a whiter smile.

I started last Friday and today, as I write this review, is Wednesday. I've been brushing my teeth twice a day - once in the morning as soon as I wake up & at night right before bed. Both times, I make sure to use this product right before brushing my teeth with Colgate with Baking Soda & Peroxide (nothing fancy). I am super impressed.
Originally, I purchased this product because my bottom front teeth has slowly been pushed together and are bending inwards. I noticed the two center teeth kept getting more & more yellow over time despite having great hygiene. Toothpaste alone wasn't doing the job & I cannot use strip whitening products because I have very sensitive teeth. I decided to give Tuxedo a try since it's all-natural and organic. I'm so incredibly happy I did! In less than a week, I have seen MAJOR improvement on the whiteness of my teeth and the yellow parts become more & more faint the more I use the product. I haven't noticed any sensitivity with my teeth, which typically would have made an appearance by now.

I got this as I saw an opportunity for something more natural than the bleach trays I had been using"¦ I really like it and think it is really getting my teeth very white. I got married a few weeks ago and one of the girls at the wedding commented on how bright white my teeth were and how good that was because being in a bright white dress with a dull or yellow smile could really turn out poorly! I know it helps that I have stopped drinking coffee and I want to keep my teeth from getting stained again so I use this every couple days and it polishes them right up. My husband uses it as well and I am really noticing a difference in his teeth also. I will admit that we look very scary with black in our mouths but it does not taste bad and it works so I will deal with looking like a monster for a few minutes :) As other reviewers have noted it is potentially very messy but I have not had any problems as I just wet my toothbrush, shake off any excess water, lightly dip it into the jar, tap off excess powder and put the lid back on right away and then brush my teeth while I'm in the shower. My husband uses it over the bathroom counter which is white and he has no problem with making a mess either. We brush our teeth with Oral-B electric toothbrushes and I think that helps polish around each tooth as well. Great product.
Would totally recommend, but with realistic expectations!

I really like this product, but for different reasons that I originally anticipated. I've been using Tuxedo for a week now and have noticed a lightening of my teeth, but it's subtle. I was hoping for more, but may see more whitening as I use it longer. At this point, I think the results are very similar to what I experienced years ago with Crest White strips, but I like the charcoal better. The reason is that I don't have to leave the charcoal on my teeth for 30 minutes (just brush with it for 2 minutes, twice daily), and the mint tastes good, which isn't true for the white strips. What I didn't expect was that my very sensitive teeth would become less sensitive after just a week of use. For the first 2-3 days, my teeth were more sensitive, but because I was brushing my teeth more frequently and my gums were irritated. By day 4, my teeth and gums were MUCH less sensitive than usual! I LOVE that. My teeth have always been very sensitive to cold and brushing, so having that improved as well as removing some of my surface stains is amazing. As long as you're not expecting to have dramatically whiter teeth (which you need a dentist for), I highly recommend this product. I'm also pregnant, and unlike white strips or trays, activated charcoal is the only whitening product I felt was safe enough to use. I will definitely keep using it!

I was looking for an environmentally friendly and healthy option for dental needs. I landed on this product after researching different bentonite clay options, and I am switching after several years of using Tom's spearmint whole care toothpaste. - purposeful ingredients list that I can read
- leaves my teeth feeling clean
- no issues with either of my bonded retainers (I used to have braces, but never used the product with braces)
- light minty scent/taste without being overpowering (I can't even use my old Crest toothpaste anymore because it's just too much for me now)
- leaves my breath lightly fresh
- the small plastic scoop makes it easy to get the right amount of powder on my toothbrush without dipping directly
Cons:
- none, really, but be careful the first time you open the jar and each time you use the powder --- it's very fine and could make a big mess even with an adult using the product :)
