After utilizing the template I believe the Beard Ninja gives experienced thick beard growers, as well as amateur patchy scruff growers, the tools, and knowledge to give shape to facial hair the correct way. Coming from someone who has been on both sides of the aisle, there certainly is a correct way to rock the facial hair you've been given and this template has you covered.
The design and instructions are extremely intuitive and insightful. The Beard Ninja doesn't leave you hanging but clearly wants you to achieve your desired look with an easy to understand pamphlet and other resources.
Therefore: I'd recommend you "get to know" the Beard Ninja and understand the design of it. Once you get a hang of it and comprehend the INTENT behind the design, you'll be much more successful when it comes to achieving the look you desire.
The Beard Ninja is solid, lightweight, and precisely what you want in this type of tool. From the extremely durable transparent template to get the optimal alignment, to the silicone grip to prevent a slip, I have not experienced a more thorough design that actually works.
Whether you're trying to shape up a foot long Viking beard or deepen the lines on some designer stubble, this tool is simply a must-have across the board.

Simply the best beard trimming product I have ever used! I had my doubts at first, but after using "The Beard Ninja" for the third time I stated to feel more focused. Everything around me began to appear clear and crisp. What was happening to me? By the seventh shave I was doing it so fast that I didn't even know I was done. I could feel my skill level increasing and the world becoming slower. After the fourteenth time using "The Beard Ninja" I was moving like lighting. My poor dog was terrified and I haven't seen my cat in days. Every time I walk to the bathroom my dog runs away with his tail between his legs.
On the twentieth day I got called into my boss's office because there were some concerns about me dressing in all black and whacking fellow employees with cardboard tubes. While he was grateful that my production was up he told me to stop stalking my co-workers and jumping them and yelling "Cowabunga and Hi-yah."
I am now on my thirty-fifth shave and I presume that my cat is dead and my dog will not come out from under the bed. Apparently I have been sleep ninjaing because when I woke up this today and my apartment was trashed. There were fist and foot holes in the walls"¦ ninjas don't care about deposits anyway. I have now been fired from my job and I have turned to fighting crime. I stopped one carjacking, three robberies and two purse snatchers last night, well one; the other guy was just holding his wife's purse for her. She hits pretty hard! I think the police are really happy that I am helping them because every time they see me they yell "STOP!" but I am now a Superhero and need to help the public.

2nd Best. Especially good for Goatee. Wish it had a round cut-out hole to hang.

Mostly useful. This is the 2nd best of about 5 shaper that I purchased from $5-14. I suspect this is slightly better for Goatee than Beard The only key feature this is missing is a plastic hole in one of the ends so I can hang it from a suction cup hook in the shower. I know that sounds petty, but most shapers are brittle plastic and oddly balanced. If you try to set them on any shelf in the shower, they tend to overblance and fall 4 feet to the hard bathtub or shower floor. It's really handy to be able to hang one of these on a suction cup hook using the hole.

Not a bad product but it does not conform to the contours of your face as I had envisioned. Subsequently, you are forced to rock it back and forth to align it properly. The clear acrylic is a positive, and you can adjust and position it outside of its limited template design. Still don't understand the under-the-chin process. Extremely difficult to position properly and cut or create a clean line with the razor in your other hand and the plastic resting around your Adams Apple. All in all it's okay, but for the price plus Amazon shipping I think I can fabricate something more user-friendly with pliable plastic from the kitchen junk drawer. It is what it is, and if your expectations are not too high (mine mistakenly were), you won't be entirely disappointed. Research beard guides though and you will find this one to be the best of the lot, despite the aforementioned drawbacks.
