Good quality shock mount, cheap but effective pop filter.

The shock mount is great, and so much cheaper than the one from Neumann! The pop filter is not the most robust I've ever seen, but hey, it's included at no extra charge, so who am I to complain? The pop filter works great, and with its circular design, is much less obtrusive than a separate pop filter would be. Also, no pesky clamps or brackets to contend with, as it attaches via these sturdy rubber bands. Sweet! The shock mount and pop filter both fit my Neumann TLM102 perfectly, and hold it securely.

I really like the shock mount. With the elastic correctly laced through all of the mounts, it can hold an AT2035 securely, even upside-down. I found that with the included pop filter, however, that it was really cutting down on the speaker's voice. It's a mesh backed with a thin layer of foam, and while this might be good for a solo singer in a studio, it meant that for my recording (podcast) I had to turn up the gain a little more, which resulted in more background noise. I ended up going with a traditional stretched nylon-style filter, though I have no real complaints about the construction.

Pretty middle of the road, still get some vibration noise from time to time from my desk off it, but I found with the mic I'm using, that the slight indirect mic approach works a lot better. The filter is meh. I don't even use the filter anymore. Nothing too great, will probably looking for a windsock or something to do any serious recording with on the mic I have.

The shock mount worked fine with my RØDE NT1-A.
However, the pop filter did not work. Plosives were slightly reduced but still audible, despite recording 6 inches away from the mic.

Useful But Limiting

The mount certainly fits my USB AT2020, but the "binder clip" that holds the mic doesn't allow for easy use of the entire unit. I mean, when fully seated the headphone jack is partially obstructed. This can be corrected by sitting the mic high in the clip and turning it, but then it is significantly less secure. If there was a shock mount with a screw-in base like the ordinary mount the mic comes with it would likely be more manageable. This shock mount gets the job done, it is just limiting.
