Horrible experience!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a kit from 23andMe and from Ancestry on the same day. That was on August 6. The kit from Ancestry was for my son. The results were returned 17 days later. The kit from 23 was for my mother. It had a defective lid, and the saliva dried out. They e-mailed me and promised to mail me a new kit. After ten days with no kit in sight, I checked my account. I had to reorder a new kit. None was ever re-sent.
They finally sent a second kit. It also had a defective lid with no liquid in it. When I e-mailed 23 they denied the defect. They threatened me with an expiration date. What? The time to send in the sample will expire despite never having a kit that is not defective? I ordered a kit for my mother from Ancestry, I will never do business with 23,. Their customer service is non-existent.
The sample for my mother is getting processed in the lab at Ancestry. I have yet to hear from 23and Not Me about receiving a kit that actually works.
EDIT: September 2, 2017. I received the results from Ancestry about ten days ago. I have yet to receive a kit that was not defective from 23andMe. They are good at sending snippy e mails when I complained. Maybe, the next kit will work. Maybe. the third time will be a charm. I regret sending them my money.

Unfortunately 23Nd me changed which data they now send you but didn't bother to let people know ahead of time. They removed a large part of the mthfr snps. Super irritated as this is why I used 23and me! There are other companies that will send you this data. Go there!!!
so this kit is now useless to me

23andMe deleted 7000 SNPs from their raw data, so this kit is now useless to me. I would love to return it, but Amazon is not giving me that option.

Dont spend the extra money for the health version, just go to Promethease and load it in there for 5$, much cheaper!

You can buy only the ancestry, download the raw data then use promethease to learn about health and diseases. 23 and me processed the data within 4 weeks.
