Great product...

I wasn't sure about these lawn claws, but the price was under $15.00, so I thought we could give them a try. My grandkids have the chore of raking/cleaning the yard. They argued over who got to use the lawn claws once the piles had been raked. Very sturdy and do a great job of grabbing a lot of lawn debris. They seem well made and nicely survived the fall season!
An inexpensive way to make raking go a little bit quicker -- they're effective and durable

I purchased these as a gift for my father, who is no longer a spring chicken, but still has a good-sized lawn to cover. These do exactly what they say -- once you have your leaves raked into a pile, you can transfer them much more quickly from the pile to bins/bags. They're durable, you don't have to do anything special to store them (just hose them off), and the plastic itself is single-piece construction, so there's nothing really to break off. I suppose the velcro on the handles might go bad, but if you have average-sized hands, you won't even really have to adjust them.

The claws aren't quite perfect. They aren't as sturdy as the picture makes them appear -- if you try to pick up a large amount of wet leaves (or if you have small sticks or something else that makes your pile heavy), the gloves will bend outward and keep you from picking up everything at once. But I would definitely buy again.
Imported mine from USA to Aussie 4 years ago - and SOOOOO happy I did!

Hands down best ever. Four years ago, I read all these reviews and I bought these from USA, importing them to Australia where I live (we dont have anything like them, or at least didnt then.) Four years later, after weekly use they are still going strong and are THE most effective gardening tool I own. LOVE EM! Love also that they've lasted so well. I usually wait a few years to do my reviews bc I'm not down with this idea SOME designers have whereby they design things to be disposable/not last. These little beauties are have stayed the distance as far as I'm concerned. Tops!
Not quite big enough, but still very helpful

These kinds of things are we all improvised to "invent" -- canvas, tarps, shovels and a big rake all lack this one function -- picking up the stuff after you have it in piles. These are great for picking up debris in the garden -- they are like large gloves. A Gardex option I reviewed elsewhere are larger and more useful for lawn debris piles, but these let me "rake" the stuff from under the deck steps, from behind the mailbox, and stuff on the deck and patio. I wear gloves too, and find that I don't worry about poison ivy and similar stuff because I really don't handle any of it!
Somewhat Clumsy, but OK

These are better than using gloved or bare hands to pick up piles of leaves. They have one shortcoming that makes them awkward and to me, somewhat disappointing in usefulness. They have an elastic wristband and you slip your hands into them to hold these scoops on. You can see these bands in the photo. The bands go over the backs of your hand. This sounds easy, but in practice, they are awkward and slow to put on and take off. What would be better? A rigid molded glove-shaped back where you could stick your hands directly into the backs of the scoops, without the need to pull out the elastic bands and adjust their positions on the backs of your hands. I would not buy these again.
