After a lovely involuntary dismount due to a gaseous explosion from his own rear-end caused him to lift all four feet off the ground while in a cantor, I was airborne over the inside right shoulder and landed in the ring with uneventful fanfare and zero pain. Vest was quiet and didn't spook said offender, although he was already expeditiously exiting said ring on his own.

Luckily I haven't had to find out how well this works. I can say that it's light and is not noticeable when worn over my riding jacket. I've also gotten off my bike a few times without unclipping the tether and it hasn't lit off yet. I think it takes 60lbs of pressure to light it off. I commute through through Seattle during rush hour and although it is still dangerous, I feel much more at ease while wearing this. I hope I never have to find out how well it works.

I dismounted, forgetting to disengage the trigger. Half way down it discharged. It happened in a blink of an eye. Neither me or my mule knew what happened. My mule never even flinched. The explosion was muffled. A good test run, but a bit expensive. It really works! I think I'll put an orange ribbon somewhere on the saddle to remind me.
