Operation successful the Fender lives! Rock on old friend, rock on..

I just installed mine today so while its fresh on my mind it works great. Keep in mind I am no Guitar hero! A few things to look for when you do the install. I am used to red being positive and black being negative. When you wire it up there are two red wires and the are grounds! The white wire goes to the positive of the cable plug in the body. Wires can be any color and work. They don't care but you have to pay attention or the magic smoke will get out! There is no wire diagram sent with it so look at the old setup for clues as to what goes where. Another run could also be different colors so be on you game and look over what you get. The part I replaced I do not think was a original Fender Squire part. It was poor quality with one wire never soldered and one about to fail and a third only holding by two strands with the rest of it never saw a bit of solder. I seriously doubt Fender would ship anything that poor in quality. I bought it used and broken so I do not know for sure. Its fixed now and seems fine from every thing I have checked. Upgrade to HSS and fixed a dead Fender for low cost. I shall celebrate now!
You get what you pay for.

Little lacking in the tone department but considering the cost it is a decent replacement to being any guitar back to life.

I bought this after some careful looking, it arrived on time and was packed well, no damage during shipping.
I set it into my 1996 fender Mexican Stratocaster, the screw holes where slightly different and I had to grind a bit away where the bridge meets the guard, but to me that was a minor thing that took all of 5 minutes with a hobby knife.
I had insulated the body cavity with shielded tape, then wired this up to my switch and to my tremolo arm and set a ground to my insulated metal tape, and plugged it in, at first I was met with a tremendously loud humming, after carefully looking over everything it turns out that I had wired my audio jack in reverse. I rewired the jack and plugged it back in, both the neck/middle and the humbucker are quiet but the single coils by themselves give off a hum, it is my understanding that this is relatively normal with single coils and without going through a lot of effort cannot be removed without changing the tone.
The neck pickup sounds bright and full of tone for leads the neck middle is bright and clean with a slight quack, the middle has more of a quak for your bluesy twangy sounds, the middle/bridge has a punch with some twang, and the bridge humbucker sounds super loud and punchy quite a bit darker than the other pickups great for your super hard hitting rock Rythems and leads.
I believe the pots are 500ks due to the sounds they produce, but I could be wrong. 250ks are a bit brighter and I don't think changing these out for brighter ones is something I'd want to do for my personal taste as these sound plenty bright to me in the neck and middle pickups.
Overall for the price this is a great low cost prewired pick guard. Some slight modifications on my part to fit it to my instrument but overall nothing I couldn't do in a couple minutes with basic tools. Now my guitar looks and sounds pretty great considering it's been in pieces for the last 9 years. I also found a back plate that matches it and installed it. I've included pictures of it pre-stringing.
If you need to put together a project Strat but don't have a lot of money to spend, and want a hss setup this is the one for you!

Wow. Just wow. I wasn't expecting much for the price but this loaded pickguard was exactly what was needed for a quick revamp of a friends squire Strat. The pickups sound great. I have had everything from the best to the worst pickups in my guitar. These sound great. A little bright on the hu bucket but it's a humbucker. Change caps on the tone know and hear it shine. The middle and neck pickups are really warm imo. The color just pops. I bough a matching back plate as well. They should include the back plat as a set and make price adjustments as needed. It literally took about 15 minutes to rerout the ground and solder the input jack. Your mileage will vary depending on the Strat you have. You will need to router out the space for the humbucker if you haven't already done so. Great product at minimal cost. Thank you.
