OMG, where have these been? I've tried so many hack solutions, in an attempt to save my deck from being torn up by the feet of my patio table & chairs! These are amazing. I purchased them a couple months ago and they have worked like a charm!
When "˜installing' these feet, the trick is to really clean out ANY & ALL debris from the feet cups of the furniture before trying to insert these beauties! Some people had issues with the new feet inserts cracking or breaking on install...I tapped mine into place with a rubber mallet, with a rag over the foot and insert. I had no issues with breakage but I did have to order a second pack of feet as I needed just a couple more pieces to cover all of my furniture but, it's good, I have backups in case any do break down the road. If these didn't fit at securely as they do, I imagine I would have feet popping off all the time but that has not happened once!

These worked very well on two sets of vintage wrought iron patio furniture with worn-out glides. I like the design better than the original white glides because of the lip that covers the rim of the metal foot. Installation is straightforward: remove the old glide using a screwdriver (the directions say pliers, but my way worked fine), then position the new glide on the foot and seat it with a few raps of a rubber mallet. If the glide is loose, then carefully run a single layer of black electrical tape around the edge that fits into the foot; fold over the excess tape into the inner side of the glide, smooth it out, and then install as usual. This fix worked fine for me in three cases.

Update after a few months:
After a few months the glides began falling out of the wrought iron furniture feet, even though the furniture is kept on a dry, shaded patio. Taping the edges has not solved the problem, and nearly all of the glides have failed. Big disappointment.

I purchased a couple bags of these foot caps for an extremely reasonable price for my father to install on his wrought iron, antique deck furniture. He inserted the cap and used a wooden mallet around the edges to work them into place. The install took about 30 minutes for 4 chairs and a table. He only had trouble with one, and it wasn't the cap's fault...the metal on the leg had a bump and wasn't completely round. He just took a file to smooth it out a bit, and the cap went on like a charm after that! His chairs look like brand new, and his new composite deck will not suffer scratches and gouges now when we slide those chairs around to drink coffee and watch the winter cardinals! With a calipers, I measured my wrought iron chair's metal cup openings at 1.47" so I thought these 1.5" slides should work. But I was wrong. It was impossible to get these glides on. I even tried softening them in hot water and that didn't help. I ended up cutting (4) small equidistant slots into the sides of these glides which finally allowed me to get these on. So I would recommend that you make sure you cup's opening is greater than 1.47" otherwise you may struggle like I did.

I was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews about these not fitting but I shouldn't have been. These popped into place with a rubber mallet with no trouble. I didn't have to do anything else but follow the manufacturers directions for a perfect fit. Very happy and the shipping was super fast along with great communication after the sale. I would buy from this company again.
