This is not a sheer fabric but thinner than other stretch velvets I've purchased. I was expecting a deep dark red but it is more pinkish. Still beautiful.

The listing says nothing about stretch so I had some hope that it would be at least slightly 4-way but no "¦ it's a 2-way stretch fabric, zero stretch up and down so definitely not the recommended fabric for the pattern I was using but I made it work. I'm just lucky I have experience making things work and that it was ordered specifically for a costume and not a special occasion! It worked for what I needed, a costume that will be worn a handful of times, so 4 stars. I just wish the listings for fabric listed stretch percentage "¦ it would make my life so much easier.
