Everything you need, great bang for the buck!

This kit is absolutely the bee's knees. I recommend it! I got the 40/60 version, and the pressure switch is relatively accurate, running just a hair on the high side. Everything is in there that you need for connecting a new pressure tank to your system. Anytime you change your pressure tank, you really need to change all these components as well. I didn't realize how bad the original pressure switch and the gauge had gotten.

The one thing you will need to pick up is some decent teflon tape, or as I prefer, some good quality Teflon pipe dope. The bonus Teflon tape was, I suppose, serviceable but I prefer better stuff. I'm old school, so I use pipe dope.

I've seen a couple negative reviews on here regarding the included pressure gauge and it not being accurate, and while this is not a high-end gauge with liquid fill, It seems to work fine, seems relatively accurate, and does its job. No complaints.

I would also like to point out that the union style of this tee is the solution I did not know I needed till I used it. It is so nice to be able to adjust the angle / position of the tee without having to mess with the threads going into the tank. Definitely a lifesaver!

I was going to buy these items including the tee and the pressure switch, etc, at a local big box store. but of course they did not have everything I needed. And this solution ended up being much cheaper than buying them separately at the store.

Another thing you may want to consider is getting a plug for the tee rather than using the pressure relief valve. I did that simply because I don't have a place to vent the valve if it pops off. (My system is under my house, in the crawl space. Not a place I want water.) So you would need to track down a 1/2 npt plug if you do what I did. Just bear in mind that the pop off valve is there for a reason.

As far as a pressure tank, you will be better off getting that local because shipping is going to eat you up, and of course they have to hide that in the price.
Don't put a check valve between your pump and pressure tank
Rodney Wilsoncroft✓ Verified PurchaseAugust 1, 2023
I'm not a plumber, but I know the basics of plumbing. I purchased the tee before I purchased the pressure tank and pump. Note: The 11" tee fits 31 gallon tanks and smaller purchased from the orange box store. If you purchase a larger tank, a 13" or larger tee is needed. I purchased the kit with the check valve. With no instructions, I assumed the check valve went between the pump and pressure tank. The switch being mounted on the pump wasn't happy with the check valve in the middle. Perhaps mounting the pressure switch on the tee as shown, would make the switch happy. The switch would turn on and fill the tank, and cycle on/off/on instead of cutting off at the cutoff pressure. I read where the check valve closing creates an inconsistent pressure at the switch which causes this. I removed the check valve and replaced it with a ball valve and removed the handle. This way I can close it to service the pump (or the tank), and use the tank to back feed and prime the pump. Kuddos to the guy that suggested this. I received a 30/50 pressure switch instead of the 40/60 advertised. It's the same 30/50 switch that my pump shipped with, so I have a backup switch. I was able to set the pressure to 38/58, so no big deal. High quality brass and seemless install otherwise. I used teflon paste for assembly...no leaks. Would purchase again without the check valve.
Everything needed to plumb a small pressure tank
Joe McCabe✓ Verified PurchaseJuly 23, 2023
This kit contained everything needed to plumb a small pressure tank for connection to a larger system. The only additional things I needed were thread putty, teflon tape, and a 3/4" plug to block off one port that I would not be needing. The only complaint would be that the fit of the pressure switch is directly against the wall of a 36 gallon tank, requiring that the switch be installed on the T before connecting to the tank (and with a result of the pressure switch held very snugly against the wall of the tank). Honestly, though, that's on me for not double-checking the dimensions of the tank and the length of the connector pipe before ordering.
