Fermentation Crock 1 Gallon - Sauerkraut Crock with Lid, Weights & Pounder - Ceramic Fermenting Crock Kit for Pickling Cabbage Kimchi Vegetables - 4 Liter Fermentation Jar - Stoneware Pickle Pot

Key features
- •CREATE YOUR OWN HEALTHY KIMCHI, SAUERKRAUT AND PICKLES: A fermentation jar is the natural way to create your own fermented vegetables, including pickles, sauerkraut, kimchi and more. The Kenley Fermentation Crock can hold up to 3.5kg (8lb) of vegetables. Preserve fresh vegetables in season and enjoy the flavors year round.
- •EASY TO USE 1 GALLON FERMENTATION CROCK WITH LID & WEIGHTS: This 5L (1.32 gallons) fermentation jar has a burp lid and weighting stones. The lid lets fermentation gases escape while keeping air out, ensuring your vegetables are properly preserved and ready to eat. The weighting stones make it easy to keep all your vegetable matter under the brine.
- •100% NATURAL MATERIALS, HIGH-GRADE CERAMIC & FOOD-SAFE COATING: The Kenley Fermentation Crock is made of high-grade ceramic to ensure that the flavors you taste come only from your vegetables. A carefully designed, food-safe coating prevents oxidation and bad tastes sometimes associated with inferior quality crocks.
- •NO PRESERVATIVES OR ARTIFICIAL ADDITIVES: Pickles last for years without any additives. From onions to beans, cabbage to beetroot there are great recipes to suit almost every crop and every palette. No artificial additives or preservatives are required. All you need to preserve your vegetables is a little salt water.
- •EASY TO CLEAN AND CARE FOR: This ceramic crock is easy to clean and care for. It's designed as long term storage for your vegetables. When it's empty, clean out any stray vegetable matter then wash with your usual washing up liquid. Dry the crock fully and store it ready for your next pickling session!

Very nice crock.

Great crock. It holds so much more than I had thought it would. Two heads of cabbage only filled the crock half full. The water lock works quite well too.

Upside it works as it should. Made a batch of pickles, and a batch of sour kraut. both came out well. Downside the nipple on the bottom wasn't ground down far enough, so it doesn't st flat on the base. It would have been 5 stars otherwise.

My crock came packaged to survive getting tossed out of a truck it seems, which I like! Customer service was great as well - I was concerned bc it was advertised with a pounder but it seemed to be hit or miss in the answers section whether or not I would get one. I emailed the CS dept and was told they weren't sure if it would have it as they are a warehouse and not manufacturer, and offered a $10 discount (got it on sale already so this put it at about $40 for the crock total) and it wound up coming with the pounder - double win! I already made my first batch of kimchi and now I'm waiting on my sauerkraut to finish - highly recommend, this is a beautiful crock and, contrary to other reviews, well made!
Perfect size

A beautiful crock pot. Bigger than I expected, thank you. The stones and masher are just as nice and functional. The only bad part of the crock is that the little nubs of a handle are not under cut and it is very difficult to get a secure grip on the crock. Be aware that when this crock is full of veggies and water it will be very heavy and hard to manage with the little handles. It does make great kimchi. YUM YUM
This crock works so much better than an Anchor Hocking glass container
Sydney G.Hayes•February 25, 2018
The unpacking of my newly arrived crock exposed a slight chip in one of the fermentation weights. I admit that I can be rather anal about how products arrived. I expect them to be as advertised. Initially I chose not to say anything about it, my own personal therapy:). Then a few days later I get an email asking about my experience, unable to maintain my silence I spoke up. After a few exchanges, nothing harsh, just questions to verify the status of the aforementioned item. My concerns were address immediately way beyond my expectation, so much so that I immediately purchase another crock. Mind you I hadn't even used the crock that I had purchased originally. Since I have used both and as you will discover with your purchase, this is without a doubt the way to go. This crock works so much better than an Anchor Hocking glass container. Don't get me wrong they work, but you are left with fussing over yeast growth. The choice is yours, I have several 2 gallon Anchor Hocking containers, but honestly I will continue to invest in Kenley Fermentation Crocks in the future. Fermenting is not something that is going away from my dining experience anytime soon.
