This worked perfect on my 2011 Aveo! Like cutting through frozen butter. Backed it out three times to check and clean.
Works Great on Honda Odyssey
andthentheend•April 11, 2018
I used this on a 2007 Honda Odyssey without any issues. At my last oil change I noticed the drain plug would no longer hold any torque and upon further investigation found that the hole had no threads left.
This tool comes with 6 drainplugs, so plan on doing your neighbor and friends drain plugs too.
The tap is hardened steel and an 11mm socket fits perfectly over the square adapter. On the Odyssey, I had no clearance issues at all. Just get it lined up and twist. This tool was surprisingly easy to turn for a tap, leaving me wondering if I needed to go up to the 16mm kit. Turns out, the aluminum used in the oil pan is softer than plastic and the tap did an efficient job of cutting new threads. You can see from my photos this leak made a mess. I had a puddle in the driveway, but now I don't.
