i drive a truck. when its pouring rain, i need to get out, crank landing gear, open doors, walk across lots to the shipping office.... i dont get to wait until it stops raining... rain or not, i must keep movin and this coat keeps me from getting soaked while i do that.
im not in the rain for hours... and im not doing gymnastics in the rain while wearing this... but it keeps me plenty dry for what i need it for. also... the hood is large enough to cover my entire head and protect my face as well. it does not seem like the most durable faric, but it blocks the water completely. it is like a rubbery PVC type material... it is not like a coated woven fabric.
