Easy to carry

I've been enjoying this pen for a while now. I carry it most days. It's definitely too big for a shirt pocket though. It writes well, and even with its size and weight, it's not too heavy for me to write with. Just try not to drop it on concrete or other hard/abrasive surface.

Two problems I've found:
- The cap could use a redesign. When it arrived, the o-ring inside the cap was not lubricated and so it was difficult to remove/replace. I finally used a light coat of Vaseline or some type of oil just to make it usable. That does mean I have to re-lube it once in a while, and I can't use too much or else it will get on my hands when writing. The cap design using an o-ring sounds nice in theory but not so great in application.
- I accidentally dropped it on pavement recently, while I was trying to replace the cap. The aluminum didn't do well with the impact. Thankfully it wasn't bad and I'm "ok" with the damage, but I had to do a little filing to smooth out the rough edges from the impact, and I had to replace the ink cartridge.

Good price/product!

As a self-defense tool, it is very discreet. It is also a good pen easily handled even with gloves on. The pocket clip has just the right amount of spring, secure and easy to deploy

This pen was in an article I read listing it as the top self defense pen with the biggest bang for your buck. Solid pen with a removable cap and a tungsten carbide glass breaker/impact point on the other end. Writes good. Comes with an ink refill. I really like the ballistic belt pouch it comes with, since it is way too heavy of a pen for my shirt pocket. So, I really like the product! But good luck getting the AtomicBear website to work right. The product registration page has trouble loading and the cursor skips all over the page, especially when the page freezes up. They said there was an included online class on how to use the pen. Didn't see anything like that on the website. There is even a warning displayed at the top of the page, about the page loading slow. I checked several other web pages on two different devices and only the AtomicBear website was having trouble. Hope they get that fixed. In todays world, there's no excuse for that. If you don't know how to get a website working properly, and you don't want to pay someone to do it for you, then don't have one at all. Also, the QR code in the included pamphlet didn't work. It takes you to Google Play and asks you to install the Messenger app. Just a crappy advertisement. I don't use social media so that was useless for me. After fiddling with the website for a few minutes, I was finally able to get it registered. But when I received a confirmation email, there were odd words showing up that I did not type. Great pen. Crappy website. I would buy this pen again. Three stars for the website. Five stars for the pen. This gives me an overall rating of four stars for the AtomicBear Swat Pen ☆☆☆☆.
Update: I did receive an email with a link to the online classes and that works just fine.
