Great magnets for play

These magnets are so cute. Little effort is required for my 18 month old grandson to get them to stick to the fridge. They are a nice, sturdy foam with a magnet backing that would not come off easily so no worries about a choking hazard. The magnet itself is not strong enough to hold a store receipt (which is a good safety measure) yet strong enough the he doesn't have to place them perfectly for them to stick. They are easy for him to remove & place back on. So far, they have not bent as he is not gentle with them. I really can't say enough about how nice & toddler friendly these are. So happy to find magnets that are safe enough for him to play with. They exceeded my expectations.

I purchased two sets of magnets - these along with another called the "Curious Columbus Animal Magnets". Both sets are great quality, but our 15 month old struggles some in pulling these magnets off the fridge because they are pretty thin: difficult for little fingers to grab hold of. For that reason, she tends to use the Curious Columbus set magnets the most - but I think it's an addition to the learning process that the different thicknesses require different handling. The magnets in this set are large enough to not pose a choking hazard (whereas the Curious Columbus one does include letters which need to be closely supervised - we keep those separate, and I did another review for those.)
Perfect gift for my toddler grandchildren.
