Lesser grade stainless steel. I had to throw it away due to rust

Does everything exactly as I imagined, even opening a bottle feels good with this. I would prefer a slightly wider channel knife, but still an amazing product.

I have purchased from this provider before and very much liked the product so when I saw this one in the store, I thought it'd be a great present for the missus (she loves anything citrus). After both of us have used this a few times, I can say that the quality relative to the price holds up to Jenaluca's standards: high quality for good price.

First, the zester. This component is styled differently from previous zester tools I've seen and worked with so I wasn't entirely sure how to best utilize it. Luckily, my spouse is smarter than myself and figured it out quite quickly. She loves this aspect of this tool the most; you can get very fine zested bits from it or get longer slivers per your desire. A very smart design after having used it and again, very easy to use.

Second, the channel knife. Was actually expecting this to be the least attractive aspect of this tool (based on previous reviews) but it wasn't the case. I do need to point out: proper usage of the channel knife needs to be done on a whole citrus fruit (no juicing beforehand!) as this will give a much firmer surface to work with, which makes a world of difference. We figured this out the hard way (the missus ate a bunch of lemons and then tried using the channel knife later, and it didn't work out so well). Additionally, this tool will take some practice to get used to; don't expect to just have beautiful lemon twists for your mixed drinks from the get-go. If you want a tool that provides no skill, well I don't know where to get it, but likely you'll have to fork over a lot more money to get it (I'm mentally picturing some tool not unlike those that make spaghetti like tendrils out of squash which just a hand crank). I have tried this on lemons and am really getting the hang of it. Again, the channel knife requires a practiced hand, but for the price, it's a great feature.

I also like the beer bottle opener element to this tool. It's a useful add-on that just compliments the tool overall. I had a thought that it would be interesting to see if this provider can get this tool with perhaps other alternative add-ons other than the bottle opener, maybe like a potato peeler tool.

I have washed this a few times in the washing machine with no issues. Stainless steel so it's good to go. My only real critique regarding this tool is that it didn't really come with any kind of instruction manual, but really, this is a very minor issue. We were able to figure it out pretty fast, and for those whom are novices in the kitchen, there's google. Still, it'd be a nice touch for future purchasers, no doubt.

Zester and bottle opener work great. Channel knife was only sharp at the tip, could not cut properly. Maybe this one was a fluke. Hopefully they upgrade their quality assurance.

A sturdy, well made item; works very well on all counts. It's good for grating small quantities of cheese too.
