I decided to wait a bit before posting my review of this bike hitch so that I could put it through its paces. In the past couple of weeks, I have transported our two bikes to several locations. The bike rack has performed admirably! Now... I'll add this in. I would NOT rely on the straps that come with the hitch. When I purchased this bike hitch, I also purchased a set of 6 quick release straps. When the straps arrived, I cut each one of them down to about a 1 foot (to 2 foot) lengths and I use 3 straps on each bike in tandem with the straps that come with the hitch. The bikes don't wobble and there seems to be very little movement at all while I'm driving. I would VERY strongly advise getting this rack if, AND ONLY IF, you also purchase a set of straps to use in addition to the factory installed straps. The hitch itself is heavy duty and seems like it will last me a good long time. OH... one negative thing... the screw down straps that allow you to position them in different locations on the upright bar don't screw down very tightly. Just another reason why you need to buy a set of 6 tie down straps to use in conjunction with the manufacturers straps.

I do not understand what people want or why they are giving negative feedback. This rack works amazingly well. Mind you, it isn't a 300.00 to 1000.00 yuppy bike rack with a fancy German name, but it does the job well. I have it on the back of my 2013 F150 4X4 and drove over several rough roads, it did shake a little but I figure the high dollar ones do too. I did make one modification, I determined where the lock button was and drilled a hole to allow it to index to the right place for my 54cm frame making it easier to set up each time and giving it an added level of security.
Good Looking Rack That gets the job done!

I caught this on sale and for the price I paid I have no complaints. Looks great, test ride was stable with my girl's Specialized. I haven't used it beyond testing I'll update the review if needed. I wish the tilt feature was more of a lever and quick release instead of the pins. I see how the straps cud wear quickly as many have complained.. Quality is visibly off from higher end models. But if you wanna save your self hundreds and don't keep the rack on the car all the time (I don't) I think you shud have longevity with this rack.

Buyers beware. Quality is poor and badly designed. The safety of your bike is dependent on a tiny screw. We found this out when the screw sheared while driving on the freeway at 80mph. Miraculously no vehicles hit the bike as it tumbled down the freeway!

Product was advertised like new, with a few cosmetic scratches. IT WAS NOT LIKE NEW. The red strap that holds the bike to the center of the rack was completely missing. Not as advertised! I had put the entire rack together so decided to keep & strap on with bungees.
