I Do LOVE IT. It's Hard to Cut
Lovella•June 13, 2018
I Do LOVE IT. It's Hard to Cut, maybe if you made it pre-cut in Squares.
But, It's better than Peat Moss, I live In Georgia.. The Soil is CLAY.
After digging a Hole I put the CoCo Bliss (a Piece) on the bottom topped
with My Soil Mixture. I add pieces of it around the plant. When you
water it, it expands, feeding the plant much Needed Water. I will buy
It Again. Work on the PreCuts. It's a great Product!

Full of Weeds
Lorraine Elkin•June 7, 2018
I was looking forward to getting this Coco for my planting this year because of the great reviews. To our surprise as it go down a few inches we had weeds full grown in the coco. It was so full of weeds that it unusable to mix with my other gardening soil. I would have weeds growing that would push out flowers and vegetables. Very unhappy. It's states on bag weed free. Not sooooo!!!!
Great stuff

What I like about this:
Compact brick that expands a ton (feels like the never-ending coco brick when you're expanding it).
Easy to moisten what you need while the rest stays dry since it is very densely compacted.
Expands to loose material without big chunks.
Multi-use material that I ended up using to amend clay soil, as a part of a raised bed mix, and as a mulch around two medium-sized potted trees and around squash and zuchinni plants.
The portions I used for mulch have stayed put even though it can be windy, and provide excellent weed suppression and water retention.
What I don't like about this:
Cold water does not work well to expand the brick, so I had to keep running back inside to the sink to get warm water.
It can be a little messy to expand and use.
Using traditional mediums would've taken up more space in garden storage, but would've been easier and less messy.
On the whole: a little bit expensive but I love that it's organic and can be used for many things including amending soil in containers to help with drainage and prevent over-watering, to amend clay soil in the garden, with heavier compost and soil mixes in large beds when transplanting seedlings and starters you've grown from seed, as a mulch, and I'm excited to try it as a growing medium for seed starting.

Excellent coco coir. Very clean and ph neutral. Easy to peel apart if not all needed at the time. Soaks up water and retains well. Added some perlite and vermicilite and all was a go and seeds had no troubles. Very happy plants and so am ikI. Highly recommended this seller as well as this product. Will be purchasing again. Thanks
Don't lug heavy bags of potting soil. Get this.

Coir is the best part of making the perfect soil mixture for gardening. So convenient to have this delivered to your door. This small block ends up giving you about 30 gallons of soil, rough estimate. Put the block in a wheel barrow or 30 gallon bin and add a few gallons of water. It will turn into a beautiful soil. I added potting soil (optional), vermiculite, rock dust and worm castings and use this in pots and containers. I took off one star because I found the Kempf brand to be a bit easier and faster to moisten and a bit less fibrous. That said, this brand is perfectly fine.
