Bought 2 to replace tan colored ones I lost in hurricane Ian. Had all the hardware so it was an inexpensive replacement. Nice color and quality. Recommend

Bought an 8 x 8 sun shade to go over our small pond. After just 2 months of use the ring connector is already rusting. So I guess the shade will outlast this cheap connector. Should be better quality stainless steel. As for the shade, the rain still drips through but not the sun. This is perfect for our use.

We put this up in 2018 and never once took it down until this past winter, because although we rarely get heavy snow in Knoxville, TN, when it does it tends to pile up in it and hang there, stretching it out, until the snow melts, because it was too heavy for me to push it up and dump it.

Anyway, when we took it down I noticed the thread was loose and the seam was open a good 6" length at the side (no seams within this shade, it is woven; just the edges.). So with it down, we took it as a time to put up a waterproof one, because although this will deflect some rain, it definitely is not waterproof.

Yeah, right. It turns out that the water resistant ones aren't as stretchy, and it did not fit at all. It was so off, my husband actually accused me of buyin the wrong size. LOL So this is back up, seam repaired, and I am toying with buying a second one for when it ultimately fails.

My one complaint is that the D rings on each corner have rusted. I toyed with dousing them in Rustoleum when we had it down, but that would just rub off.

Update: one severe windstorm later, and the side seam has come apart, even worse. Still functional, but the reinforcing strap that is in the seam is now dangling. So I am ordering a new one to put up in the spring.

Would have liked more grommets in the middle of the four sides but was able to add grommets there because of the quality of fabric and workmanship of the cloth!

Good product
