I have used this adapter for my other laptops for over two years and it work great. I recently bought this adapter for my new Dell XPS 15 9500 and I have been using it for about 3 weeks with no problem. This adapter added instance 512 gb to the laptop (SAMSUNG EVO Select microSDXC UHS-I U3). The adapter fit perfectly in my Dell Xps 15 9500 laptop.

Although BaseQI recommends a different model (750A) for the XPS15, I found that that model stuck out of my laptop a little bit, which I didn't care for. I tried this model (730A/731A) instead, and it's an absolutely perfect fit for my XPS15 (9500). It fits just right in both dimensions and is flush with the side of my laptop, exactly as I wanted. As other reviewers have noted, the micro SD slot on this adapter is a tight fit, making it a bit of an ordeal to get the SD card in or out, but once you get it in the adapter works like a charm.

I purchased this microSD adapter for my XPS 13. It does not work. Tested the SD card with other adapters and they do work fine. I was out of town, so I missed the return window. The device was DOA. Tried contacting BaseQi. Have not heard back.
Edit: The company contacted me following this review and sent me a replacement. The replacement is working well. Very convenient product.
