Sizing is incorrectly advertised

I bought the smallest sizing, which advertises as a 14 x 20. Be warned the board is not 14 x 20... instead it's a 13.5" x 20", which then very unhelpfully states on the wrapper, that it will fit into a standard 14" slot. Well sure it'll fit, since it's missing half an inch... that's basic math, but what it doesn't do now, is stay in the slot and remain level.
So obviously it wouldn't fit in my 14 1/4 slot, as it was much to narrow. Would have instantly returned it, but couldn't find a better sizing and needed one on the rush. So I borrowed a chop saw and spent 2 hours making and installing little bitty shims and bumpers inside my slot in order for this thing to fit well enough to remain level and not move around like a floppy fish. The board seems nice enough... but I am very displeased with the inaccurate sizing. Hope I save someone else the headache. I wish companies would just put the actual size! Clearly they want to market for some standard 14" slot, but figure they can trim it down a bit and save on production costs. Bunch of pricks-

Beautiful board. Very nicely done except for one little problem: The SIDES are not contoured as shown in the photos. Only the ends are contoured. If that is important to you because your slot is contoured on each side, it may not fit or will be a tight fit as mine is. I may use my sander to round the sides just a little for better movement. Other than that, it is very heavy, very solid and beautiful. Have food grade mineral oil as well as mineral oil with wax to use with it. To the review that complained about knife marks - you will always have them with wood. This is why wood is easier on your knifes. Bamboo is not extremely hard so marks may show more, but keep it washed and oiled and sanded every couple of years and you should love forever.
Perfect size! And one size DON’T fit all......

Very nice cutting board. Critical it is the right size and so it was. Even 1/8 of an ince would have made it impossible to use but the Pureboo people are dead on. Cutting boards should be replaced every few years. All the lnife nicks can be germ nurseries in no time. This board is very nice and looks great. First home improvemrnt for me in 30 years......practically. Hah! Good job Pureboo Bears,

I had a hard time finding just the right size cutting board for our camper. This huge one is perfect to cover the burners on our stove. I put cushioning shelf liner down, then the cutting board. It scooted a bit on our crazy long trip, but not much and I loved being able to chop veggies while sitting at the dining room table. Love that it's bamboo, too!

Ordered this board but made it custom for our opening by trimming with a table saw and using a small hand held vibrating sander to smooth the cut side. Took less than 3 minutes and looks exactly as the shipped product. I love it!
