Awesome little truck. It isn't that big but it is pretty cool. Decent speed. Goes over moderate off-road and plush carpet terrain. Battery lasts about an hour before you have to put it on the charger. Carries more than you might think, maybe 3 or 4 pounds. Dumps the bed via remote control. My 3 year old loves it so much I have to hide it. I bought an extra battery and the optional wall charger. It is a weird yellow color, not Caterpillar yellow but more like Gulden's Mustard. Mine came with a bent axel so I am exchanging it. But even with that flaw I have to give it 5 stars. Really great toy for $40. My son is going to play with it for 400 hours.

This is a REAL EXCAVATOR. it has seperate bucket, boom, cantilever, individual track, a carriage funtions. You will need 2 AA batteries for the 2.4ghs remote, and USB 2.0 or higher charging port to recharge the 7.2v battery pack. Unlike other models- this one will actually dig and dig below itself and is capable of fine manipulation. Fisca RC toys are a few notches above Top Race, but they are almost twice the price. Fisca is for "adult kids" Top Race is for "kids" Both are a great value, however, if you are on a single parent mom budget, get top race. If you want to actually dig- Get Fisca, they are built tougher. The battery is accessible on top of the excavator and requires no tool to remove for charging, unlike the top race, which has the battery underneath, and requires a small phillips screwdriver to remove cover for charging . Fisca requires no tools and the battery is on top. Love this model excavator.!

Very simple yet fun RC dump truck. My child loves these types of vehicles and he enjoys hauling things in the bucket. The bottom of the truck runs a little close to the ground, which makes ground clearance somewhat of an issue. It isn't much of an issue for us, but it isn't made to do much off roading.

I just received this excavator yesterday and have had some operating time to find out how it works. Seeing as how i work with the real machines every day in my line of work, i was skeptical to say the least. This machine became available through amazon warehouse and i decided to give it shot, and im glad i did. Movements are very realistic and i felt like i was on the job moving material. Its winter here so i put some popcorn in a bowl and loaded out of that into my 4 and a half year old sons rc dump truck. We had an absolute blast doing this in our livingroom. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews but i believe this is a great toy for the cost. Without traveling around much, I got about 45 minutes to an hour of play time off a fully charged battery. I purchased 2 more batteries through amazon for 18.00 when i bought this so that will be more than enough playtime. The only negatives i found was that the bucket could curl in a bit more, when traveling it seems the left track is slightly faster so it slowly turns right, and the batteries take 2-3 hours to fully charge. Ive yet to see how it handles sand and dirt but it seems like itll do fine. The best advice i could give is that if you are thinking about purchasing this, go online and watch some videos of it in action. There are plenty out there and will give you a good idea if this machine will do what you are looking for. Happy excavating!!!

Grandsons received this and 2 others for Christmas and they loved them. The boys felt like they were really on a construction site working. They seem to be very durable which you need with two young boys. It would be nice if the battery life was longer.
