First the good. It traps a ton of litter. It will hold a lot before it needs to be emptied. Fairly durable construction. It cleans up well if there are accidents.
Things that are an irritation, or could be improved:
1. Comes rolled up and takes forever for it to lie flat. It never does lie perfectly flat, but is mostly acceptable after a long time being down.
2.Size is OK, but would be great if there were larger options. Good for one box if your cat doesn't like to leap from the box. A larger size might be more awkward to handle and dump the litter, but it would be worth it.
3. Edge is fabric-ish material. My fosters like to dig at the edges and they've become frayed. Your mileage may vary.
4. It's a little cumbersome to dump the litter, and takes a few tries to figure out the best way to prevent it all dumping on the floor, but that's a small issue.
Overall I'd recommend. Only wish it would lay flat and came in a bigger size!

FINALLY a kitty litter mat that WORKS!!! Ours is sitting in the entrance way of our Litter Robot where our two Maine Coon kittens are constantly tracking out litter on their paws. I am now on my third - but FINAL choice in kitty litter catch mats! We've tried others that had great ratings, but simply could not hold up to catching the excess litter caught up in the kitten's extra fluffy paws. I wish that they made a larger version of this mat, but I can say for sure, that I'm 100% happy that it works as it should!
No more bits of litter throughout my house - cut down on vacuuming!

it's large enough for my large size litterbox to fit on top with room to spare on all sides to catch the extra litter, which makes a huge difference. it took my kitty almost no time to get used to it. I put a small bathmat underneath in front to catch any stray litter that may still cling to her fur upon exit - she's a DLH. The difference is amazing - no stepping on bits of litter any more. Wish I had purchased this years ago!
The material it is made out of is like the soft foam rubber used in kids playroom tiles ...

The second cat pee gets on it this is ruined cannot wash out the smell even with bleach. Needs to be made of rubber or some other non absorbent material. The material it is made out of is like the soft foam rubber used in kids playroom tiles which will absorb liquid.

Don't waste your money! Does not work like expected. Came all folded up and months later it still barely lays flat. Doesn't pop open to dump litter it sucks.
