Way Too Wide

These shoes are very cute, but huge. Granted, I ordered a half a size larger because, for some reason, nearly every shoe seller has decided that size 5 is not worth carrying. If you're going to make a 5.5, why not also make a 5? But these aren't just a little big in the toe, they're extremely wide. I had ordered another style by J. Adams and ddn't have this issue, so I don't know what's going on here, but most likely, these shoes will never leave my closet, as I'm not sure any insert can fix this problem.

These were the first shoes I bought to kickstart my wardrobe into full blown PinUp, and I am NOT disappointed! They look small when you see them, and slipping into them may make you feel like it won't fit, but when your foot is actually in the shoe? It fits perfectly! I was worried I'd have to send them back and get a bigger size, but the sizing (for me) was spot on. The heel is the perfect height for if you're planning on doing a lot of walking. It isn't so high that your foot will slide down and squish your toes into the tip of the shoe. But, it's the perfect height for if you wanna look cute, but be comfortable. I got it in the black tip and heel, but white in the middle. Looks beautifully retro and I'm in love!
Only thing I would warn possible purchasers of is the fact that the sole feels a bit thin, so if you plan on walking on blacktops with these... might wanna rethink that. And if you're like me and want the strap super tight, the buckle will rub hard and cause an immediate distressed look to appear on the strap itself. But, other than that the rest of the shoe appears to be or wonderful quality.

Very uncomfortable. I wear them to church (about) one hour then take them off immediately after getting home. The materials used in making these shoes is stiff and hard. They are also very wide. I didn't return them because I needed the pink and gray color specifically to match a dress I purchased for a very special event I attended.

Based on all the glowing reviews, I was really bummed when I received these. I ordered my regular size 9 after reading that these fit true to size or for some it was a bit too wide (which was good for me since my foot is slightly wider). When I received the shoes, my toes were crammed all the way into the front, and although the width wasn't terribly uncomfortable, I had expected it to be roomier since my foot isn't that much wider than your average width. The shoe also felt as though they were made of glorified cardboard, though I honestly didn't expect any kind of luxury for the price. Also, due to the cheap material, the scallop detail looked already worn and like it would fray/tear off quickly. Overall, very disappointing and I have already sent them back.

Aside from the obvious ( super cute shoes), there were far more Cons than Pros. I don't think they're worth the price, there is 0 arch support. I do however, have freakishly high arches and even with arch support I have trouble with shoes. Still, a little bit of padding would have been nice, considering the cost. The material is stiff and synthetic, if they had worked for me, I could tell it would have been awhile before they would've been broken in. I wear between an 8.5 and a 9 in heels. I got a 9 erring on the side of caution and if the shoes weren't so stiff, my toes would have busted right through. I definitely would need a 9.5 or a 10 but they do not carry these shoes in a 9.5. So, order at least a half size up if you're really set on these. I wore them for a half hour and my feet ached for a few hours afterwards. I have a long, narrow foot, for reference, as these may work for individuals who have a different foot type. Pros, they are very pretty, as pictured. The shoe appears to be durable and the heel is a good height. I returned mine.
