I have a Rockford Fosgate 1000×1 bd amplifier (1465 actual watts). I was running two RF P3D4 12 inch subs (1200 rms) at 1 ohm. They sound great. After reading about and checking the reviews on this Skar Audio EVL-15 (1250 rms) I wanted to compare it to the RF'S. I have it in a SKBox, also sold by Skar. In my opinion this EVL-15 sounds better. Lows are more present and vibrations are significantly more. It is louder than the other two. I even needed to turn the amp down a bit, and it is still louder! I am impressed. I bet the Skar amplifiers are great also. One day I hope too try them also. I am a fanatic about Rockford quality, a believe their products are superior and well worth what they cost, at the top of the line. However, for now into the future I will be running this Skar EVL-15. I like it very much and will continue using it. Unless something goes sideways with it I will not amend this review. Heads up though, as other reviewers have posted, it does put out a smell. Hopefully in time it will stop....

Great sound and frequency response. I upgraded the sound system in my 01 Jag XK8. First went with cheaper pyle subs in rear because of 3" mounting depth but sound was bad. I had to install .5" spacers to fit these in the speaker box, but sound is perfect now. If no air gaps at box, and batting is added inside box, and amp/receiver is tuned these will sound perfect.

Got this on a APMI 2k and it does really well. Think it could use stiffer spiders but not bad it can bottom out the coil very quickly at 25hertz with the recommend box specs. but as far as 10" subs go this is by far the most musical 10" sub iv ever played and on meter did a 142.12db with out moving box around to find peck spot in cab. i will add photo later for everyone.
