****PLEASE SEE UPDATE AT BOTTOM****
Had to return heat lamp.
I have tried all types of heat lamps and the only type that seems to work are the red ones.
I just wanted it to be dark for my bearded dragon.
Didn't even try the thermometer. I already have one.
This heat lamp works. But does not produce anywhere near enough heat. No where near a 100w normal bulb.
Enclosure temps were barely above 70 degrees. With the red light, temps get above 100 degrees.
Had it installed in the same Zoo Med dual fixture deep dome lamp, as all the others.
****UPDATE****
After my initial review, I was contacted by Zacro and they wanted to remedy this situation.
They were very professional, and helpful.
They sent me a new heat lamp. I installed it, and now the enclosure temps are much closer to 100*.
Right now it's up to 80*.
My bearded dragon is MUCH happier now. And the best part, is there is no light. So he sleeps well at night.
He is now a lot more active in the day time.

Raised temp in terrarium 5 degrees

I have a 100 gallon reptile terrarium that I was trying to boost the temp a little during the winter. I purchased this and put it pointing down into the terrarium. I was pleasantly surprised by the heat output. Even with a gap between the lamp and the lid it made a really nice difference. On average, it's increasing the temp by at least 5 degrees. RECOMMEND!
Great for exotic birds No interrupted sleep.

I've only had this ceramic healing light for a few months and use it for my yellow nape Amazon parrot cage in the winter. It is so much better than the heat lamp we were using. I like it because he can't sleep at night the way he is supposed to. I wish I would've known about these years ago! Would recommend these to anybody that Has exotic birds. I have had my parents since he was a baby with only some wing feathers and he is now 37 years old. By far the best lamp I have ever had. Hope it lasts. And I enjoy not having to use the heat gun to see what the temperature is in his very large acrylic cage. The digital thermometer was a nice plus I just put it out of the way Where he cannot reach it is 4' x 5' enclosure. I live in a very cold climate and the temperature fluctuates wildly When opening and closing doors. This was the perfect unobtrusive answer to keep my parrot at a constant temperatures
