I considered many options and read many reviews before I chose to purchase this Premium Quality King Mattress Encasement by Four Seasons Essentials. I urge you to consider my experience before you make your choice. I almost never write a negative review, but my profound disappointment in this product leaves me no choice. Perhaps the single most important and desirable feature of this particular product is the full-length zipper which I expected would allow the encasement to become a fortress, protecting my new mattress from liquids, bedbugs, dust mites, mold, mildew and many other potential intruders. You would think, then, the zipper would be of high quality and durability. ThInk again. The zipper on my encasement lasted nine days. Or less, potentIally, as it was nine days when I first noticed the signs of complete separation. Nine days and my Premium Quality King Mattress Encasement by Four Seasons Essentials is now absolutely useless. The zipper quality is an embarrassment to the idea of "Premium Quality". So my investment - and my expectations - were destroyed in mere days. The product description, pictures and reviews here would have you believe you were getting superior mattress protection that would last a lifetime. But it all comes sadly undone when a sub-standard zipper design reveals itself. They fooled me. Learn from my mistake. Find better quality, and a more durable product, elsewhere.

I can't speak to the bed bug issue, or the waterproof issue, but I can tell you that this helped a LOT with my dust allergy, which is severe. I got the mattress protector and pillow protectors and now I'm back to not sneezing in the middle of the night, nor in the mornings. This is a very comfortable protector with no noise issues as some can have...rustling and so forth.

Nice quality. Fabric is soft, there is no odor and was very easy to put on. It worked very well over my Mom's twin size memory foam mattress. A little loose, but we think once the mattress fully expands, it will be fine. Thankfully, "no accidents" from Mom, so can't really review on the waterproof part. She said it doesn't slide, slip or shift during sleep. Once we put the fitted sheet over it, we couldn't even tell it was on. Nice product, put in on with mattress standing up, slipped it on like a sleeve. Zipped right up, did have to tuck it under a little to avoid the bagginess. Would definitely recommend.

I was slightly concerned this would not fit my thick pillowtop mattress, but it actually fit just fine with even a bit of room to spare. Having a 360 / fully encased protector was important to me but I wasn't looking to spend a ton of money either. This met both criteria and is easy enough to wash using their directions. I took off one star because the fabrication feels more plastic-y than I'd like, but at least it doesn't crinkle under the sheets.
