I was impressed!

First let me caution you, if you do not do your due diligence you could easily end up with a one star review! As I look at this antenna and its small size I can't help but to characterize it as a short to medium range antenna. After all it is not much larger than a beachball. My experience working with antennas tells me that there cannot be a whole lot of gain here. There is a fellow on uTube that has an excellent video on how to assemble this antenna and I have found that to be far superior to the instructions included with the antenna. I would recommend going to the Web Site, TV Fool or Antenna Web just to see what channels are available, how strong the signals are and their relative bearings. They will even make recommendations on how aggressive your antenna will need to be. Just type in your address and they will lay it all out for you. In my case the great majority of the stations are located on a hilltop near Seattle. A directional antenna like this one is idealy suited for my application. Additionally they are all less than 20 miles away as the crow flies.
So my story begins when I finally had enough of my Satellite Dish provider! Cut the cord, burn the bridge, we are out of here!
So we picked up some streaming boxes and were amazed at all the neat stuff that was available. But there were two areas where they fell short, local news and sports. You can get them as part of some of the streaming packages however those packages begin around $70 per month!
After removing the Satellite Dish I was able to use their existing cabling by simply jumping around their little magic boxes using a F style bullet.
Now I am a happy camper, after doing another channel scan I now have over two dozen local channels who's rate will never go up!
Update - I was concerned that, when I added a splitter, I might not have enough signal to still have a good picture. That was not the case and now we have OTA in both rooms. Very happy now!
One thing that I had not considered is that my cable company had a cap on the amount of Data I streamed. I got a surprise in my bill since I went beyond the cap. I was able to get unlimited data for an extra $15 per month. This is something to consider if you wish to add a streaming service like Roku or Firestick.

Almost as strong as a 91xg...but with no vhf lo, or can it?... read below for vhf lo modification

*UPDATE*: I modded the antenna to get VHF LO stations (if they are close)
I bought a dirt cheap set of rabbit ears some time ago and never used them, so I took the telescoping tubes off it and zip tied them to the vhf hi parts of the antenna (see pic) and it worked! I now receive WHDF which broadcasts on Ch 2, signal isn't the best but it's stable (see pic 2) and so far I've had no drop outs... I intend to make the modification permanent by purchasing some antenna tubes and attaching them via clamps. Length does matter here and I used zip ties here to be able to slide the parts around a bit to find the best length. This will not get long distance VHF channels, but since WHDF is only 25 miles away, it works. The rest of my stations are about 60 miles away and this mod didn't affect their signal (see third pic) This antenna is great as is on UHF, just lack luster on VHF... modification might affect VHF HI stations (7-13) so if you have them, this mod may adversely affect them... I would recommend zip ties to test any mod before making it permanent.
I bought this unit to replace what I thought would be a damaged antennas direct 91xg that hit the ground when a wind storm blew down my tower. In my area I'm 60 miles from the major networks broadcast location. Before this antenna arrived I had already fixed the 91xg and put it up on the side of the house. When this arrived, I assembled it and compared the signal strength between the two and to my surprise this unit came within 5% of the 91xg's signal strength. For those who don't know, the 91xg is a huge antenna, several times the length of this unit. Now, my 91xg is old and has been beaten up, but still, for a small antenna like this to come within a cats whisker of the same performance is impressive. One big negative for me is that despite this one being labeled as vhf, it only has vhf hi capability. One of the closer towers to me operates on vhf lo ch2 and despite it being the strongest signal by far at my house this antenna will not receive it. My old vhf antenna would get both the low and high bands, but was huge and was completely demolished in the fall. Finding vhf lo antennas is a bit hard these days as almost no major networks broadcast on vhf lo. Overall though, I give this a 5 star rating for being able to do such a great job and not being huge.

Bought this to replace a great Winegard antenna that got hit by lightning.
Went to YouTube to get better assembly instructions - the only failing in this product is the poor instruction.
Anyway went together okay and mounted it about 10 feet lower that previous antenna for logistical reasons on the outside of the house.
Did a channel scan and to my delight it picked up over 100 channels when my Winegard only found 70ish. Of course a lot were shopping and Spanish language and I am primarily interested in the major networks PBS etc.
Signal strength was good to great in all cases. I live in a single story home about 20 miles from the towers in south Florida - so no hills etc.
Well pleased.

Excellent antenna, I am about 45 miles from the transmitter and get a great picture. I have commercial and military air traffic crossing the pathway and I do not get the chop like previous units in the past.
I have tried other similar units and did not get the results I get with this one.
I did add a signal booster to the input line and all is very well.
I have recommended this to friends based on my experience

Assembly is easy. mounting with a fixed bracket is tricky. It could use a bracket that can be adjusted besides up and down. A bracket that pivots and tilts would be great. Picture is good some channels are pixelated still. Need to buy a separate grounding wire and inline grounding coax cable device, cheap but not included. Total time to install if you have all the cables and materials is about 2 hours. Remember to have it secure the wingnut adjustment is good but can come loose if you don't really tighten it with a pair of pliers.
