This jacket has been very good. It blocks wind and rain well. It's very warm; most winter days I where a long sleeved shirt and this jacket and I'm good. On a really cold windy day, I add a sweatshirt and then I'm usually too hot.
The rear kangaroo pocket is cool, I keep a pair of light gloves in their. The little sleeve pockets are only good for small thin items. I don't think most phones would fit in those pockets. The hood is good, especially when it is rainy or windy.

Acceptable, Don't Be "Too" Deterred

I ordered my normal size, and it fits how I would expect. The zipper doesn't seem like it's the highest quality, but it works fine for me, and the construction of the jacket is perfectly acceptable. That said, the hood of this jacket is very shallow and, at least for me, is unusable. It feels like it was designed for someone without a neck and pulls the entire jacket way up just to fit the hood over my head. That said, if the hood issue doesn't deter you, you will probably receive a jacket that is what you were looking for. There are better jackets out there, but if this is what you're looking for, go for it.

I brought the jacket to keep my husband dry. There was a torrential down pour the 2nd night that he had to work. He called to tell me that the jacket was heavy and wet and that he felt wet... at which point I'm thinking this was a waste of time and money. Than he came home and said that when there was a break in traffic, that he took the jacket off and it was extremely wet, but he was bone dry. Once the jacket was saturated with water, it must have left a chill that could be felt through the inner lining, but he was dry. He was impressed and so was I. We are both very happy with this jacket, and plan to buy another one.
Front zipper would not zip up properly

I have owned the jacket for 2 weeks and the front zipper has already broken off. It was difficult to to zip up properly from day one. when i would get it zipped it would come undone from the bottom. otherwise the jacket was warm and fit well. Had to return it.
