Pretty good, just needs adjusting

I have a different strainer that clips on, but it's made of stiff plastic. It's starting to look like it will give out soon (white cracks developing), so I got this. It looks really strange (floppy) and like it won't hold, but it clipped on nicely to the pan. As I was pouring the water from the pan, there were some noodles that did sneak out between the pan edge and where the silicone should have met the pan edge and prevented anything from going through. I don't know if I just didn't fit the strainer exactly right to the pan, or what. The strainer was kind of bunched up from being in the package, so it seems like it needs to "flatten out" more. I took one star away for that, because I feel like it should be ready to go right out of the package. Hopefully I can get it to work better because trying to catch noodles when you're pouring boiling hot water isn't what anyone wants to do.
Awesome gadget!

This is one of those silly things my wife wanted, and honestly... it really is an amazing little tool. None of us like cleaning out the colander, because all those little holes get pasta stuck in them, it is a pain to clean every little part of it, etc. This easily attaches to a pot and can flex to fit on different size pots. It's made of silicon, so it can hold up to the heat of the pot, and the hot water inside. The silicon also makes this effortless to clean, even if you leave it out overnight without rinsing (looking at my daughter on that).
I don't really invest in kitchen gadgets as a general rule, but this has made things like pasta SO EASY to make without that colander nonsense. It holds on securely to the pot, and I have held it nearly upside-down with pasta pressing against it, hot water running through it--and it just STAYS there. It clips and unclips easily. Seriously--if you make a lot of food that requires draining the water (mashed potatoes, pasta of all types, etc), then this is an awesome little gadget to add to your kitchen. I have not touched my colander in over 4 months. I couldn't be happier.

Clips are tight

The clips require some hand strength to get the strainer on a typical pan that doesn't have a lip around the edge. Once on the pan, it does a great job of straining and not letting noodles escape even when I had the pan perpendicular to the sink. The strainer won't work on any pan that has a lip around the edge; and you probably won't be able to get it on a pan that doesn't have straight sides (unless the pan's sides are thin). It'd get a five from me if it worked easily with thicker pans, and if it was designed so the clips curved out and around most pan lips and tightened onto the pan a bit lower. Not sure how it'd work at straining smaller rice-sized items.
Would repurchase 100 times!

This is a better invention than the pet rock! My 1st use of it was draining fat from beef from a 12" pan and it was so much easier than using the lid or losing burger through the holes of a strainer. The springs are strong but need to be to stay on. And the natural curve of the strainer adjusted easily to the pan shape(although i did have to push it in with my finger on a hot pan, but the natural curve is intended for smaller pans I am pretty sure and i did not get burned). Was able to tuck the 1lb of burger under the strainer itself and didn't lose any when tipping for drainage. Would repurchase 100 times.
Does not work with large pans

I was so excited about this I gave my big strainer away. Only to find out it doesn't work well with a large amount of anything, really. I cooked two pounds of ground beef in a large pan and the gizmo allowed quite a bit of it to fall out over the top. Please make a bigger one!! The concept is awesome!
