Returned wrong size
but it looked sturdy.

I did not use it. It does not fit a VW Tiguan, but it looked sturdy.
Love it the versatility

I got this awhile ago and for the life of me couldn't get it to fit my PT Cruiser even though the website stated it fit. I am not a biker nor are my son and daughter-in-law, but wanted something to put the grandchildren's bikes on for journeys to the park and I never felt the rack was totally secure. Had visions of bikes littering the roads as I drove!
Fast forward to this week. A friend has a biking friend who came over and showed me exactly how to mount this on my Cruiser and voila it works! I'm dyslexic when reading instructions and evidently what I was reading was not computing in my brain with how I was attempting to secure the rack on the hatchback, but once I was shown how to do it--it was one of those face palms!
Loaded up the bikes and off to the park we went. The bikes were easy to load and easy to take off. Bikes stayed on the rack...so no having to buy new bikes due to road rash (i.e. read destruction) of the bikes. So I'm a happy camper! A really good plus to this rack is that it is portable and fits easily into the car when not in use or in a garage/storage closet. Love it now that I can use!!!

It fit and survived a 1500 m lie trip with 2 bikes. One downside is you cannot use lift gate while it is on the car.
Don't expect too much at this price point, but it's adequate

This is a great mid point rack for a hatchback car or other smaller vehicle that you don't want to bother with a roof rack or full upright tray style hitch rack. Some of those can run in the hundreds. That said, if you're riding on really nice bikes, you'll want something sturdier and reliable. I'm not comfortable enough to take this rack at high speeds on the highway, so it's mostly for around town use.
My issues are the challenge with setup can be tricky in terms of the loops, they curl back quickly and are hard to feed through the ratchet locks, and the other issue is that when fully loaded, the bikes are not immobilized and bump into each other. I had to carry extra bungee cords to keep everything motionless. It also is not ideal for kids bikes that have really small frames: you can't run the frame through both arms. Anyway, for the price, it's good enough, but don't expect too much.
