We use this cutting board as a cover for our new kitchen countertop, and it works great! You can cut on it, set hot pots and pans on it, and it keeps the countertop from becoming marred or stained. Excellent value for the money.

OK, I did not buy this to use as a cutting board. I bought two new nightstands and did not want to spend $60 a piece for a custom cut glass. This does stick over about an inch and a half in the front and 2 inches in the back. That is working out very well for me also. I put the box of tissues behind the lamp so nothing heavy hangs off of the cabinet Onto unsupported glass. I bought clear bump furniture protectors and put them on the four spots where the glass is on the end of the four corners of the cabinet. I peeled the for off of the corners of the cutting board, just for cosmetic reasons. I placed the cutting board upside down on the cabinet and positioned the bumpers, then I flipped it over and voilà ! So far so good! Just as an aside, I bought aquarium cabinets on Amazon to use as nightstand because we have the adjustable bed and I wanted taller nightstands.

I already had a similar slightly smaller smooth greenish tinted glass board which I've used for several years, and which has held up well. I wanted a larger board, clear if possible. Unfortunately, this one has the same greenish tint which is quite visible on my off white with taupe sprinkles granite countertop. The sellers should be more honest and not try to claim this is clear. It is also a bit thinner than my previous very sturdy board, which gives me some pause about its durability. We'll see.

I got this about a year ago to use as a cutting board and for rolling out dough, baking etc. I know it isn't good to cut on glass for your knives, but Im not a professional chef I just needed something to prepare food for my family that was easy to clean and sanitize. I was tired of plastic cutting boards that had bits of plastic falling off and wooden ones that I could not clean easily. This has solved that problem. I was worried it would shatter easily but so far so good! Looks nice on counter and helpful for rolling and kneading dough. It does have some marks/ scratches after a year of use hence 4 stars
